Whatever happened to humility in victory... ok, maybe for a drubbing of Arsenal, Chelsea or West Ham (because the fan's elevation vs us) it's bearable/banter, but to a bottom half team like Norwich it makes me wince

Totally agree. I also hate the same old boring chants we hear every week from most sets of fans. Stupid shit like 'Can we play you every week' and 'Is this the library'? God they are soooooooooooo boring.

I hate it. Be humble. Yes, at the moment things are great, and the future looks bright, but we've had many miserable seasons.

Enjoy what we're experiencing now, we don't have to be dickheads about it. Arrogance usually makes you look stupid in the end.

It was very funny at Leicester in the cup. I thought they were going to jump the barrier they were so incensed

I actually chuckled when I heard it last night. Have to say I prefer the classic Ohhh When the Spurs ringing out instead of stuff like that, but as long as our fans are vocal and cheering on the team (With non racist, non homophobic or otherwise insulting stuff) I'll applaud our away support as it is always brilliant!

I'd much rather our songs were about celebrating and supporting our own players and club.
Agreed!

It's for this same reason I wish we would stop singing the Sol Campbell song. I hate what he did, but I'm long over it. He doesn't deserve to be part of our history, and he certainly doesn't deserve to have his name sung by tens of thousands of supporters every week, regardless of the context in which it is sung.

A hundred times YES. it's high time we all just ignored that prick.

We've effectively put Campbell on the same pedestal as King considering they're the only two former players still sung about. It's a joke really

I wouldn't care if we sang nursery rhymes as long as we sing. It's obviously a consequence of our position but we're singing more than usual at the moment, so I hope it continues. It's not like we sing those songs only, they're usually part of a repertoire.

Some people might not like us singing about the Arsenal fan on a string song, or any rival type song. Just gets filed in the moaning old git folder.

Don't sing this, don't sing about Campbell, don't sing about Arsenal; what the fuck can we sing? I'd rather our fans made noise for 90 mins singing whatever than a few pro-Spurs songs for 15 mins in a match.

I agree with this. We do need more songs though.

But why? The whole point of singing is that it's a way of showing your support, surely? Do you think the players get a boost from hearing about Sol Campbell or kicking in Arsenal fans' heads?

I'm sure a player would rather hear our fans for 90 minutes regardless of the songs. You don't want to give the opposing fans any opportunity to be the ones being heard.

I agree to an extent although if the fans are having to resort to abuse of others to make that noise you do have to question the intellect and enthusiasm for the club of those involved.
