Said this in another thread yesterday. Was great when 4-1 up against West Ham, 3-0 up against Man Utd or 2-0 up against Chelsea. But completely classless when singing it against a random small team that we have no rivalry with whatsoever.

Having said that, the West Brom fans outside the ground were singing "We cost you the league" so fuck em :)

There is a time and a place for it but I think West Brom's performance deserved it. Doing it against Hull (who are clearly in bother) and someone like Burnley that have zero resources would show a lack of class. West Brom on the other hand have rich investors and Tony Pulis at the helm. Sticking it to them is perfectly fine in my eyes!

absolutely their fans were giving it to us big time in the park lane - had to be done and my 12 year old son loved it

Nothing beats the English chants when you get all the crowd with you on the songs, but it is to seldom it happens.

I do believe we have to get some people to organize and start up the chants. The Germans are so good at this. Maybe, and hopefully, it will get better when the "Westfalen" stand on the new stadium is up and running.

The tune of Pippi Longstocking is a suggestion from me. Easy and fun to sing. "Oooh Jan Vertonghen, shalalalala" - "Victor Wanyama shalalalala" You can put in whoever you want to sing about.. almost.

NO NO NO NO NO NO

PUT SOME DICK IN FRONT OF THE STAND WITH A LOUDSPEAKER TRYING TO GET CHANTS GOING? - ILL SHOVE IT DOWN HIS THROAT

sorry but have to agree with some of the fans on here, this chant has got to be one of the worst and we are better than this !!

it always feels so arsenal like, sing it when we are winning - went 1-0 up against Villa and the first chant was this, similar against west brom - it is literally embarrassing.

Those saying its light hearted probably don't sit in the ground. I know for one I don't join in on this one

Support the team and give away fans some stick - 100% but this chant needs to stop as its making us look like that lot down the road
It's perfect for 85-90 mins when we're 3-4-0 up against Arsenal West Ham or Chelsea or last year vs man.u because the irony is we used to be 'shit' in comparison to them, but it is embarrassing and unessercary singing it to the likes of West Brom etc, would prefer pro Spurs songs.

I liked the chant the villa fans did on the FA cup when we were 1-0 up

"It's only 1 nil, its onllllly 1 niiiiillll
How shit you must be, it's only 1-0"
Villa fans do like to take the piss and they're pretty good at it
I remember when we played them in our 125th anniversary game at the lane
When they went 4-1 up they give us a rousing rendition of happy birthday too you, when it got to happy birthday dear Tottenham all you could do was laugh really
Ended 4-4 so it turned out all right in the end

That was funny. Both the song and villa fucking it up.

Oh and for the record, I'm not a big fan of the "you're shit" song. Bit classless for mine...

... maybe except when we're playing Chelsea :)

Agree, it was proper banter and we applauded it. Then they fucked it up and applauded us. All in pretty good spirit that night!
A draw that felt like a win, it really was a great night and Villa fans played their part.. I like Villa, it was great at their end last season, good banter and solidarity between both sets of fans what with there protests against Lerner and their thuggish stewards.

No it bloody wasn't. My wife, a Villa fan, was sat next to me at the Lane that night. After they fucked up the 4-1 she didn't speak to me the whole way home!

Got 2 flags though

Result! Two flags, a draw that felt like a win and a vow of silence from the ball and chain.
