His first season was good but he's gone backwards since and teams have figured him out. Also he was never the focal point of the team.

Compare him to Neymar, not based on overall quality because Neymar is superior to Bale in every way and will continue to get better.

Both players cost a lot of money and both were joining teams with 1a and 1b, they both had solid debut seasons and both deferred a lot. The big difference is that Neymar earned the trust of his team mates/Messi and Bale didn't.

When talking about Bale many engineer a way to blame Ronaldo but this is all on the player. His movement off the ball wasn't anything special with us but it's got worse at Madrid, mix in his average technique and it's no surprise that the opposition can shut him down without much nous or that his team mates don't trust him or look for him.

Ronaldo is on the decline but his movement and his desire to get into dangerous positions is still outstanding. Jese should be starting ahead of Bale.

I was talking about him at Spurs not Real Madrid.

One season wonder.

It's all subjective but IMO one good season doesn't make you world class.

He isn't as good as he or General Manager Perez thinks he is, it's a rude awakening for him.
One season?

Really?

Barca play as a team. Real play for Ronaldo.

That's the difference.

Not a good time to be Rafa Benitez...

Real have now been kicked out of the Copa Del Rey for fielding an ineligible player.

Don't see that as Rafa's fault TBH, surely he has a number of staff members who are supposed to be ITK about such things. Real even have a former referee employed as an advisor who didn't pick up on it!

Real are claiming they weren't told by the authorities that the player was suspended...

Florentino will say anything to deflect blame.

I honestly didn't know there was a rule like that, I just assumed it was the club's responsibility to know.

Why have the BBC taken to using 'dos Santos Aveiro' rather than Ronaldo in their match scores? Seemed to cope fine with his nickname until now. Keep thinking Real have signed a new wonderkid...

That may be fed through via another company, opta or whatever.

Wonderful goal from Madrid, back heel from Bale in build up was a thing of beauty

Soldado has provided another two assists this afternoon for Bakambu against Sporting Goujons . They've got a good partnership going.
