Its realy good to see the youngsters doing well again. All these European cups must be good for them. Playing against difrent styles must help in their development.

Spurs: Button, Smith, Hutchins (Obika, 65), Kasim (Mtandari, 50), Martin, Butcher, Hutton, Livermore, Pekhart (Olsen, 50), Mason, Rose (Townsend, 60).

I wonder how many of those (if any) will make the grade.

Anyone who watches this level have an educated opinion of which of them could make it?

From the list I know Rose and Pekhart have been highly rated...

I don't got to Academy games and I do not get to reserve games much now, but Button, Smith, Mason and Townsend are all age group England internationals, as is Hutton for Ireland, Livermore has been a reserve team regular practically since entering the Academy, and Martin recently made his Championship debut for Blackpool.

But basically at this age they are all prospects. A lot will depend on chances (including loans), injuries, attitude etc.

From the way the line up is presented and the fact that Kasim & Livermore are CMs, it looks like Danny Rose finally played LM. And the player who replaced him, Andros Townsend, is another very promising wide midfielder.

Where is Yuri Berchiche? I've hardly seen him on academy & reserve teamsheets since Xmas. I hope he's not homesick for the Basque country...

Smith got a professional contract last week, so probably rated highly by the club. as others have said, Rose and Pekhart have big reputations, but realistically, from our academy, hardly any players make the grade at the lane.

We need to improve the number of players making the grade in the Prem, be it for us or someone else later down the line.

Apart from King and O'Hara, there is only Luke Young who came from our system and play in the prem. (That I can think of)

Lets hope some of these boys get ther chance to make it

strange isn't it? our record for youngsters is shit, yet just down the road at West Ham they churn two out a season on average...

Crouch came from our youth team as well didn't he?

But I agree we need to be producing more young talent.

Great stuff, Juande must be pleased to see our kids stuffing Sevilla's kids!

If the kit presentation is anything to go by Pekhart, Rose and Archibald-Henville seem to be most likely to succeed and play for us. But you never know, of course.

mate, OUR academy. Please. I don't normally correct people but are/our really gets to me.

And yea, I'm sure Rose was on a bench at some point this season. Sunderland at home or something?
