I wonder if Discovery will show any re-runs. On a slight tangent, does Discovery usually show Oprah or is this on there because of his previous affiliations with the Discovery Chanel team?

I dont trust the basterd, burn him hes a witch:jimlad:

I think he is dodging the important questions and he is trying to justify his accomplishments by implying he felt everyone was doing without any facts and as if that makes it alright what he did

He's definitely trying to take the edges off of things but fuck me who wouldn't? Not sticking up for him but i'm really shocked he's being as honest as he is.

As a diehard cyclist, this hurts. It really does. Not becasue I am/was an Armstrong fan - I always went for the opposition to the all-powerful USPS team - but because of the impression drugs has had on the sport I love (almost as much as football/Spurs). The fact that people I talk to/people on here automatically think that all cyclists (esp. racing cyclists) are on the juice. It's a load of bullshit.

Thank god this is all happening now, finally, albeit 10 years late. But it is happening. The sport is about as clean as it's ever going to be. Cycling is different to football and other 'skill' sports in that it is 99% body fitness, strength, weight, endurance. There are always going to be people pushing the envelople. Hopefully now it is going to remain clean and people who don't necessarily understand the nuances of cycling will learn that things have changed. That is all we can hope for.

He came across as a massive **** in that interview. he wasn't sorry, he was sorry he got caught and in true American style, he danced around questions and tried to jazz up his long winded answers.

The sport is clean now but it wasn't when Armstrong was winning all those tours so I agree with him that is was a level playing field, I guess that is why he shows no remorse.

He still came across as arrogant, which amazes me. He had a reputation whilst on the tour of being arrogant and it seems that it was true. I think once the details of his personal life come out (the accusations have been made and he has denied them, but now who would beleive him?) the whole word is going to think he is a massive ****.

I have Livestrong training gear that I would feel a little embarrassed to wear right now.

All things considered he still admitted he'd dope, and I'm still in shock i've got to say. Just felt so weird hearing him admit stuff. Got to feel for his mother considering his past etc and growing up, but it's hard to believe anything now, not that I think he made up stuff about being poor and the whole one parent family thing but I dunno. Not getting to the point here but you know what I mean.

It's not a level playing field, though. Just because two different riders dope doesn't mean they are taking the same drugs in the same quantities or that it affects them in the same way.

Not only that but two different people taking the same drug will give each individual a different level of improvement.

Sorry I would have been a little more convinced if he owned up to this at the time, this is nothign more than a PR attempt which IMO failed miserably. As others have said he comes across as exstemely arrogant and is only sorry that this all came to light, he diserves all he gets and should NEVER be allowed to compete in ANY sporting compititions again IMO not even an egg and spoon race.

all the competitive guys were doping when Lance was racing - he's still the best cyclist of his generation. didnt they DQ the first 15 racers for doping the year after LA retired? Lance is a well known asshole completely aside from his cheating. He chews up people faster than most of us can meet them. I have no sympathy for him.

To clarify, in 2006, 17 racers were disqualified the day before, including most of the favorites. The eventual winner, Landis, was disqualified after.
