really hope they don't come up - they're a real threat to us - the longer they're in a different division the better it is for me

They belong in the Premiership. They've served their penance for stupidity.

Bugger. I don't want Ken Bates anywhere near the Premier League.

Agreed

I made a fair amount of money from fleecing my Leeds supporting friends a, when they went down and b, when they lost in the playoffs to gain promotion.

But now I am joining my Leeds chums in supporting their quest to be reinstated back where they belong.

I'd sooner play Leeds than Wigan.

they do PT - that's why I don't want them there :)

I rank them well above the west Hams sunderlands boros blackburns and portsmouths of this world and only just below us Villa and Everton

they can easily rise again and cause us plenty of trouble - so I want them way down - just like I wanted Everton relegated when there was a real chance they could have been

Nah. One of the world's glamour ties was always Spurs v Leeds. I want that fixture back to look forward to.

Would you rather have a weak Premiership or have strong competition. I for one am bored of the same 4 teams cleaning up. We're no different from the SPL. I'd rather get rid of the Bolton's, Wigan's etc etc and have teams like Leeds, Nottm Forest and Sheff Wed. Big clubs, big support and most of all big aspirations. Clubs like these wouldn't accept rolling over and taking it up the ass from the big 4 and playing in their own 2nd half mini league

I'd rather have a weak Prem, as it would give us more chance of at least getting 5th - Leeds coming back won't stop the top 4 cleaning up - it'll just make it a little harder for us to finish 5th/win trophies

if I could choose I'd see the top 3 relegated next year - but more realistically I would love to have seen Toon go down this season Toffees when they nearly did - I'd love to see Villa back in the 3rd like they were in 71 when we beat them at Wembley

I care about our chances - the more Wigans Derbys and Hulls in the top flight the more European football and trophies we get

for example Spurs Leeds may be a classic but it cost us a possible Cup Final maybe a trophy when they did our fine side of 72 -

By doing us in our first home game last august toffees really put the boot right into our league season - and so on etc

Agreed. I'd like all those clubs back. I was disappointed Sheffield United went down too.

Leeds are the only team I hate apart from Arsenal. Oh, and Chelsea. Anyway, those of us that remember the Sixties and Seventies will probably agree - they were the team that brought cheating into football - fouling systematically, surrounding the referee, diving, shirt pulling etc. A nasty bunch of low life thugs led by an immoral acquisative self serving schemer in Revie. They seem to have signed that sort of player/manager over the years - Bowyer, Wise and so on. The support tends towards gas chamber hissing, singing Munich air crash songs and general racism, including aggro on hearing a London accent. The worst away trip of the season when they are in the Prem. Keep the scum where they are, please. And don't get me started on that little shite Bremner. Anybody care to post THE photo of Dave Mackay hauling up a whinging Bremner by his shirt. Classic!

I actually got to hate Leeds even more than Arsenal when I was a student there in the early 70s. 900Triumph has summed it up perfectly, with the omission of glory-hunting student fans who started supporting the ****s as soon as they arrived. Horrible, horrible club, horrible, horrible, Neanderthal supporters. One of my greatest Spurs-supporting moments was seeing us beat them 2-0 at Elland Road with a pair from Chiv. Unfortunately I had to watch surrounded by apes as the idiot stewards wouldn't let me and my mate into the away end, despite us having obvious London accents.

And the 1973 Cup Final! What a hoot!

No, I don't want them back. I hope they get Southend in the Final and Barney scores a hat-trick.

Shame, really, as Leeds is a good place.

How every neutral fan used to detest Leeds - yes I remember it well.
A popular song of the day was "We hate Leeds" to the tune of the Dambusters March - sung all around the country.

Here is the Mackay v Bremner pic. See how the Spurs legend hates Leeds. Learn the lesson well, you young'uns!

yep 900 and don't forget why he did it - cos having had his leg broken twice Mackay was convinced Bremner wanted to break it for the 3rd time

Dave actually used to say he wasn't particularly proud of that pic as he thought it gave a false image of him - but he sure was mad at BB that day and rightly so (naturally I believe Dave's account :)

I was at that game incidentally - and yes I vividly remember how Leeds changed the english game for the worse that decade -

IMO Liverpool did as as well - not that they were like Leeds in their behaviour though tommy Smith was no angel - but that like Leeds they introduced a more negative aspect to the game - Spurs and Man U were still trying to play expansive football in the mid 60s - Pool had a more defensive 'tough' approach

dirty, DIRTY Leeds...

yeah, welcome back though - been a while since i tuned in to hear the score from Elland Road and it wasn't against Orient or someone

For those saying they rate higher than a lot of teams in the prem right now - remember, they're now financially a champ team. They don't have the commitment of a lot of money to be thrown at them again, they don't have the board to know what to do with it even if they did, and their attendances aren't really stuffing the ground - maybe that'll change.

The most hope Leeds have is to knuckle down and hope someone comes in with money and who is prepared to secure the club in the top flight again - they learned their lesson the hard way, taught all the top clubs a lesson - lets see how they go
