Serious question, who was the last coach to go to Chelsea and actually raise their profile or at least cement it? Seems a horrible club culture for any manager.

-Chelsea’s heaviest ever Premier League defeat
-worst defeat since 1991
-Have lost their last 3 away games 12-0 on aggregate

Lovely stuff

I still fail to see even a hint of Sarriball. I think they need to replace 6 players for Sarri to play the football they want,

Alonso
Luiz
Willian (which they've done)
Kovacic
Hazard (leaving anyway)
Kante (WTF)

They'd have back their manager big time to get the type of football he wants including selling the best dm in the world, which is mental to me. They'd raise a lot of money though. Plus they can sell 10 out of the 496 players they have on Loan but it's going to take some mega business to get the team he wants. Is he going to get 3/4 more transfer windows?

He'll be lucky to get 3/4 weeks at this rate.

There's only so many managers in the world, their team is slowly getting worse year on year despite still winning trophies, I feel like if they continue down this road they'll fall off a cliff at some point.

In years gone by Chelsea have been able to switch coach and seen players' performances elevate them to titles. That isnt the case any longer. Their squad has decreased in quality, their rivals have strengthened significantly and they no longer have a core to rely on through the tough times. Which means that anyone coming in from now on will need time to implement change and make them serious challengers again. The best thing would be for them to trust a coach and ditch the bad eggs.

Problem is Abramovich doesn't give time. Unlucky!

I'd be amazed if Sarri isn't sacked after that today. They were absolutely humiliated and it was brilliant to see it.

Depending on who they bring in (and I'm stumped to think of who they could and expect results right now) I'm fancying there might be a bit of an exodus from Stamford Bridge in the summer, entirely with the blessing of the owner, and a huge pot handed to the new man to rebuild.

Best hope Roman is in a spending mood.
