I think we show desperation to talk about them that Saudi's are helping them by buying their players. Saudis bought from other clubs too like liverpool, italian clubs, neymar e.t.c. Their best deals are in Europe. Look how much they got for mason an avg player one year left on contract. Same goes for Haveritz. They sold 2 players to milan clos to 40 mil. Even newcastle buying the youngester from them who played few games for close to 30mil. They got close to 10 mil in Livramonto deal too. Ziyech is close to Gala transfer. There is still possibility that conor, maatsen and chalobah might leave and all wanted in PL.

They efficiently sold there unwanted players where we failed as every year. This is what hold us back every transfer window.
Could be of course that the players they wanted to sell were seen as more talented and worth more than our castoffs ?

Yep. That is the point. Our fanbase thinks there is something fishy but the fact is there players are wanted by others and they pay good for them. There is nothing wrong in it.

Selling young players like Hall seems like a really smart way of alienating your youth academy and fanbase.

Looks like the player wants to go as they agreed season long loan to crystal palace but Hall grew up fan of Newcastle and wants to join them on permanent.

When you buy a football club for £4.3bn and then embark on buying £1bn of players with no indication of slowing down, surely the Premier League must be asking where this never ending stream of cash is coming from. Boehly doesn't have this money, but conveniently one of his investors is Saudi PIF... Oh maybe there is a connection!!!

And they get £35m for Lewis Hall from... Newcastle... I mean he looks okay but that seems well over the odds.

Erm no, it's blatantly corrupt, given that the Saudis are the ones funding Bholeys investment fund in the first place. They are just buying their way out of FFP whilst bolstering their own product.

We don't actually know if that is true.

However, PIF are an investor into Clearlake. In what form is actually irrelevant. Its essentially an ethics violation as there is a potential conflict of interest.

Edit: replace potential with actual

What a debut, giving it away for fun and the a pen to top it off.

He was £115m and Bissouma was just over a quarter of that :ROFLMAO:
