So who is suggesting it was French youths? Where's that come from?

Will wait for all the facts to come out but wouldn’t surprise me if the Liverpool fans started the trouble, printed their own fake tickets and did anything they could to get into the game. English football fans have a terrible reputation and for a good reason, they love to cause trouble.

From following on Twitter and the various clips being shared (the beauty of people filming everything) it looks like:
  • trouble started with ticket less fans storming the gates two hours before kick off (tweets from well before the big trouble started)
  • Police closed streets off to restrict the flow and funnel fans into special areas
  • Legit fans with tickets now stuck behind those forcing their way in and unable to get through
  • Heavy handed police indiscriminately tear gassing fans (never calms things down)
Liverpool have a long history of "ticketless fans storming the gates". I remember a very Senior London Police Officer telling me over 25 years ago this happened almost every time they had a game in London.

This is common knowledge, its not fake news or misinformation...I've seen this first hand.

I know they've won two cups this season so technically a parade is probably justified but it looks tinpot as fuck to do it right after losing the biggest one and the league.

I suspect they were waiting for the inevitable quadruple that they were going to achieve so they can parade that.

It is justified but suspect they got to do it now as its the holidays after.

It is anticlimactic

no doubt there were French youths involved too but to point the finger squarely at them is some stretch yet here we are.
Who’s doing that? I think it’s more of a stretch to think that most of the major new organisations are running a conspiracy to absolve scousers of any blame.

Sky too. But they are all lying of course ?

weird coincidence that the real fans were ok. I know from my own experience in Madrid talking to Liverpool fans how many had fake tickets. I'll believe my own eyes and ears over sky

It’s not just sky though. I’ve just looked on the bbc, Guardian, mirror, AP they are all reporting it the same way.

There could well have been people with fake tickets, but I doubt there were thousands. And when there’s reports of players friends and families tickets being declared fake by the police/security then it does point to a problem with the organisation and security rather than widespread fake tickets.

It amazes me that Klopp doesn’t understand the concept of a team defending or a keeper doing his job. If I weee him I’d be more worried about my fw’s acting billy big balls before the game and then not finding the back of the net.

People in here just want an excuse to slag off liverpool fans.

There are countless eyewitness reports and videos showing what happened. The majority of the blame clearly lies with the police, who kettled and funnelled fans through dangerous bottlenecks.

Also, why weren't they anticipating the problem with ticketless fans and doing proper checks before the turnstiles? Absolute incompetence.

I hate liverpool as much as anyone. But blaming them for last night is just biased horseshit.
