All defenders are prone to defensive lapses. Walker is no different. Even the best Goalkeepers make defensive errors too.

Walker has his moments but over the course of a season he plays far more outstanding games.. Its the reason he's in that side.

Got them knocked out of the FA Cup and was at fault for two of the goals last night. In the games that matter, when the pressure to perform is really on, he crumbles.

What happened to the City bus was a disgrace, and can't have help City's preparation, but those cheeky, chirpy, loveable scousers will get away with it as usual. Seems like they are beyond reproach from the media.

I can remember Heysell, when they blamed 'outside cockney agitators', and believe me I am not joking!.

My mate just txt me with....

The last time a scouser was so excited over one leg was when Paul McCartney met Heather Mills

Liverpool Echo:

City Team Bus Breaks Several Glass Bottles In Unprecedented Attack On Liverpool Fans’ Human rights.

Several alcoholics left in tears as bottles smash on impact.

Local lass Michelle Suit told reporters ‘I was expecting the bottle to bounce right back off the bus and into my hands so I could finish the dregs.... but NO! It’s racism at its worstest.

Local businessman A.A. karmdown has started printing T-shirts with the caption ‘we won’t rest until the City team bus has been scrapped’ on the front and a random picture of Kenny Dalglish on the back. Around 2.4 million have been ordered since last night.

Whatever else you say about Liverpool, they've beaten City twice this season. We - and the rest of the league - could take a leaf from their game plan, if they're going to be stopped from dominating for years. Although they can always just throw more money at it..........

I couldn't stomach it if Liverpool won the CL. We would never ever hear the end of it from the media. Imagine if we destroyed the City bus? The press would be giving us hell, but what do Liverpool get? Sweet FA, says it all really.

Imagine if they get to the final, trying to pull their usual shit they do every time, in Kiev. Could get very brutal.

Was the Man City team announced before the team arrived at the stadium? Just wondering if it had any effect on team selection - particularly Sterling being on the bench.

Not sure to be honest, but would certainly not be surprised if Sterling had been left out in the face of the hostility.
Didn't seem to make any difference though as whenever any City player so much as touched the ball there was a loud chorus of boos and whistles from 50,000 scouse baboons!.
Am sure Pep will use the events of last night to motivate his team next week, so it should make good viewing.

We all know how this will turn out

a 30k fine and a limp dick warning about it happening again
Yeah quite probably and as this was outside the Stadium, there is precious little I think they even can do if memory serves, so you won't get "behind closed doors", expulsion or any of that, nor do I personally believe that's relevant.

The Police can of course do more to the individuals involved.

Liverpool create a great atmosphere on them European nights. They really got behind their team. There is no way City can replicate that. They can smash up their bus however

Have to say I’m not a violent person at all. But if they’d done that to our bus I’d definitely be after revenge. Unfortunately the police will probably be all over it.

Then they'll get hurt by the bottles, bricks or cans that get thrown at it. :)

So I've been looking over the UEFA Champions League rules documents and was ultimately directed to the 'UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (2017)' document.

In my humble reading, Liverpool will be in breach of Article 11.2.b (page 14), Article 16.1, Article 16.2.b, Article 16.2.c, Article 16.2.f and Article 16.2.h (all page 17), for their attack on Man City's bus.

However, Article 23 and Article 24 (page 20) state that UEFA have absolute power over proceedings, regardless of what the stated rules say, thus giving them the right to administer whatever punishments they deem fit.

Finally, page 44 onwards list the punishments for various offences, none of which result in a competition ban. It's also interesting to note that the fines are incredibly small.
