Thought Gerrard came across as an arrogant dick after the game. He said ‘Anyone can see we’re a class above Aberdeen’. That’s a bit ****y. I can’t see Lampard saying something like that. That little interview gives a good insight as to what kind of manager Gerrard will be - disliked by everyone except Rangers and Liverpool fans. Disappointed really, one of my favourite non-Spurs players. Maybe someone will have a word with him and he’ll change his attitude somewhere along the line....

Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue.

He won't be so cocky when Celtic spank them.

Gah!

"Liverpool should have been 12 points better off than their final league total of 75 points: with 14 incidents reviewed, our analysis shows that adjustments would have put them second place overall instead of fourth.
The key game may have been their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Feb. 4: taking all three points instead of settling for a dramatic point would have helped them keep pace in the race for second"

Fuck me. This is going to be horrible... I can already hear the Liverpool supporters readying themselves to tell the world...

This immediately calls into question the validity of the work behind it, you can only really change real mistakes not ones which are debatable. I am sure we have come top of these sort of studies in the past although they seem to have added a few new things in to make it more about luck that purely decisions.

Have they gone through and simply said a goal scored after the allotted time for injury time is wrong or have they gone back and assessed each match and validated that additional stoppages didn't give need for more injury time?

Not clear how you can say with any certainty that the following affected the final result of any game:
  • Red-card incidents that were missed
  • Incorrect red-card decisions

If Lamela had actually dived then I'd be teeheeheeing all the way home. But van Dijk absolutely punted him in the back of the leg (calf iirc, but may have been knee) and Erik's reaction, while flamboyant, was most likely one of genuine pain/surprise. Yes, you need to see it on a camera angle that was not one of the main ones, but the author of this article is supposed to be a journalist - surely they have all the angles?!

I am aware that the BBC are just continuing their usual Liverpool appeasement programme - I wonder how many of their pundits will tip them for the title...
