Not sure where to put this but, Jamie Redknapp has said ‘think about the best defenders the premier league has ever seen, Vidic, Terry and Rio....Van Dijk is all three rolled in to one’

Fuck. A. Duck!!!:ROFLMAO:

The most ridiculous thing that moron has ever said? Got to be up there

Let them keep on spouting shite and deluding themselves.

I've just seen a post on Facebook from a Liverpool supporters site proclaiming "what a wonderful weekend"
then showing a picture with themselves top of the pile with 48 pts, then City in second 42 us in 3rd with 39 points.

Unfortunately in the real world Sunday is part of the weekend and those 39 points of ours are now 42.

Pool fans grudgingly admit it was soft, it was a blatant dive! Hope he gets a ban

Not going to happen to the APOTY. Unfortunately. It's gone, Liverpool stroll it.

Just move along, nothing to see here.

A guy was on 606 last night complaining about the lack of coverage that the bbc has been giving them this season.

Why would he get a ban? There are no retrospective bans for these are there? If there are have they EVER been used I. Anger?

I thought they brought in a rule to punish players who dive to win a penalty, or is that next season?

They did.

If a player dives to win a penalty or get another player sent off, they get a two-match ban for "successful deception of a match official".

However, only two players have ever been charged.

And no player has been charged for over a year now since Lanzini picked up a ban for winning a penalty last December.

Which really riles them on KUMB, I can tell you. They've got a thread that reviews possible offences of this type and constantly whine about the fact that they appear to have been singled out for punishment.

It's almost as if some git at the FA introduced and implemented the ban purely to troll West Ham and their fans.

Anyway, back to work. The FA are bloody hard taskmasters, I can tell you. :cautious:

Shambles that he hasn't been charged. Guarantee if that's Sterling or Dele they talk about it for weeks. Hope it effects them getting soft fouls in future though

Liverpool fans are living in a world where football doesn't exist outside of Anfield.

This one is actually arguing about why Spurs and City were on ahead of Liverpool.

God I absolutely loathe Liverpool. I'd rather anyone except for the goons win the title at this point.

It's still very tight and hopefully they'll drop points over the next 2 games and we can reign them in some more. We CAN'T let them win. It's our responsibility as a football club. For the greater good.

what always makes me laugh is how they say they're everyone's second favourite team when everyone i know who doesn't support them absolutely despises them.

The definition of 'simulation' needs to be tightened up. What is simulation if if it isn't exaggerating the amount of contact and the effect that it has on the player subjected to it? There is no way in the World that a full grown man is sent sprawling to the ground because somebody brushed his shoulder or touched his hand as we saw with Salah (and countless others including our own). If they won't redefine it they should just bin the idea altogether and bring in a rule that says you cannot touch a player at all once he is in the penalty. Would make for shit viewing but IMO more palatable than watching cheats prosper every week.
