So they've signed a new player, a midfielder, a 19 year old...nice and young and therefore perhaps more capable of adapting quickly to this high intensity pressing game due to his youth. So what do they do? Yup, let him stay where he is on loan for the remainder of the season.

That's because his current club wouldn't deal unless he was allowed to stay on loan...

"...but did he mean it?" Did he fuck!!! "No look pass" ???!!!!!! He miss hit a shot and his blushes were spared by his team mate. It's laughable that some people believe he meant it :banghead:

If you watched it before the pass he checks where Ibe is and I think he meant it.

Not a big fan of his but I'll give him credit for that.

Kind of like we did with Dele Alli last year? ;)

At what point does he check? I only see him looking as he is running into the area. He's 100% trying to curl that into the top right hand corner and it bobbles up and over his foot. Meant it, my arse.

Before the pass comes in he checks his surroundings and sees Ibe to the right of him.

I noticed it in the replay.

From what I saw it looked like he meant it.

So yeah, when he's outside the area and running on to the pass with plenty of space in front of him. I doubt he's thinking too much about Ibe there.

You're seeing something I'm not mate

I've just saw it again thinking I may have got it wrong but as he runs into the box he does have a quick glance at Ibe and his positioning and when he make's the 'pass', he doesn't feel sorry for himself but watches the pass through to Ibe who then scores.

That's not the actions of a man who has just mis-hit a shot.

I could be wrong but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Come on, he fluffed it and then looked at the ball to see how badly he'd cocked up. I'll give him full credit for playing it cool though

Something that has really impressed me with Poch from the early days until now is the way in which he seems to give players time to get ready to play his system, time to adapt, time to get fit. This includes players returning from injury. I think the downside for Klopp was being brought in late into a job where they seem to expect the team to instantly adapt

Totally agree with this. The only downside is that any players we sign in January might not feature too much - although maybe that's the reason that we are still interested in Berahino.

And just so I'm not totally straying off topic it'll be interesting to see how Liverpool cope against Arsenal with no centre backs next week. They could get smashed if Arsenal turn up.

Seen a few Arsenal games over the Christmas period and they've been really poor (Newcastle could have smashed them on another day) but, they've been picking up the results (except against the saints).

Wouldn't be suprised if this ends up 0-0 as neither team are creating much at the moment (cue an epic 6-5 scoreline :bag:)

Oh and as for Allen's no-look pass o_O he fluffed his shot that was never intended and having a beard doesn't make you the new Pirlo...
