What I don't buy is that it changed the course of the match. Madrid had weathered the early pressure and were starting to dominate before the Salah incident. They knew how Liverpool would play and were smart enough to deal with it. They'd have won even if Salah had played 90 minutes.

Salah's eye is on the ball and Ramos is dragging away from it. Doesn't release his arm and injures him. It's not like he hasn't done this sort of thing many, many times before.

Are we watching the same thing? It's obvious that Salah hooks his arm around the arm of Ramos. What do you want Ramos to do? Go out of his way to raise his arm up? The arm gets pinned when they fall over, he doesn't drag it away.

How anyone but a deluded Liverpool fan can watch that and think it's intentional I'll never understand.

Maybe. But you can't seriously argue that Liverpool losing Salah had no impact on the match. Salah is Liverpool.

The weird thing is salah really wasn't in the game while he was on the pitch, it's clearly the other players mentalities when the best player of the team goes off that needs addressing.

I'm sure it knocked their belief they could win it. But before the game I'd have said Liverpool would come out flying but if Madrid sat deep and bided their time they'd start to dominate as Liverpool's energy levels dropped. That was already starting to happen before Salah went off. I don't think him playing 90 minutes would have changed that dynamic as the game went on. He's a finisher more than anything - and a counter-attacking finisher at that. Madrid played a smart game, as you'd expect.

He engineered a foul and got himself a free kick early in the game - it's what him and Mane do all the time - the lads in the Dublin studio called the early 'foul' for what it was.
