Having to watch your team lose a Cup Final is hard.
Knowing that the defeat came, in part, because you lost your best player to injury is harder.
Knowing that the injury was deliberately caused by an opposition player who is renowned for his shithouse approach to the game, and loved by his fans for this, is really difficult to take.
And that's why, when my Liverpool supporting friends look to me for sympathy when we next meet, I'll put my arm around their shoulder and say:
'Fuck you. Don't come crying to me about Ramos and Salah. I was 13 when Graeme Souness took Galvin out in the Milk Cup Final and now you know what it feels like. You had that coming. Fucking karma, bitches.'
OmG....
Someone compiled this...
Wow. You're old enough to play for west ham.
I was neutral up until 5 Live started 48 hours of constant coverage beforehand.
Actually it wasn't coverage, it was just blathering on. Summary commentaries on their five wins. It was just shit.
I think Real Madrid is a horrible club but I'm glad they won; 3 in a row is impressive.
I was at that final in the Milk Cup and it is 100% true about Souness/Galvin
I'd say that's Liverpoolsy.don't know about that - but it means you are trophy-less, and you finished behind Spurs for the 8th time in 9 years...
Yep, apparently we didn't beat them due to lack of experience. When Chiellini did it against us it was a "masterclass in defending".
I don't have any sympathy for Karius in the slightest. Took the chance to have a swipe at Kane to appease his team mates and their muggy fans instead of being professional and just congratulating Salah on the goals. Worth it wasn't it? same players he tried to cozy up to left him in a heap at the final whistle with only Madrid players giving him a shoulder and fans have been bombarding him with abuse.
If karma existed we'd have won countless quadruples but both games yesterday do make for compelling evidence for the defence
That’s what I was saying yesterday. But then I looked it up and it was actually mignolet.
So now i do feel sorry for him.
Let's be fair... Ramos knew what he was doing. And he will do the same to kane/Eriksen/Alli etc. Usually it's a bad tackle and a yellow. But this time I felt kinda sorry for Salah... he was being physical to get in on goal, Ramos just use that aggression against him.
I always want to see the best players for a big match.
Don't read too much into those LK death threats. Just grief. It was a HUGE match that would make it a fantastic season. I do feel for him... think he will have to play in a lower tier or a weaker league. His career has taken a nose dive.p0
