Problem city have is they can't shift their deadwood. Wages are to high. Mendy, ake, rodri, silva no one can afford right now.

Because he's on the market for 75m next summer and it would've taken double to get him now.

And Dortmund have already sold Sancho, they don't have form for selling more than one star at a time.

Think its going to be between madrid and utd who gets him.

Madrid want Mbappe who is running his contract down to leave on a free next summer. I think Haaland will end up in Manchester but I'm not sure which club.

How long will they leave it before they turn there attention elsewhere from kane. pep knows he needs a striker and surely they wont gamble on getting kane until he last day.

I could see them signing Kane now AND Haaland next window. If they meet Levy's demands of course.

I think Pep actually wants Kane as 10 hybrid and another CF on top of that. They just don't want to spend 300m to get it. I imagine they thought they could spend something like 75m and give us a couple of players for Kane, then next summer sell some more and get Haaland with the funds.

Unless the deal is done and this is just buying us time to bring in replacements before having to declare publicly our bank balance and spending power has had a massive boost. No way is this allowed to drag into the last week.

I'm hopeful that the result and display on Sunday might have given Laporte cause to think a move here might be good. IMO he'd be an excellent partner for Romero or LCB in a 3. If kane is going, getting Laporte in would be pretty good business for us IMO. He's on high wages there but not ridiculous.

Donnarumma was £75m less, and yet most of the biggest clubs didn't go for him because there's an asterisk on any Raiola transfer, as well as an "admin fee"
Yea but the admin fee sometimes doesn't come from PSG and maybe a nice package from Dubai

Even so, you're looking at £125m minimum for Haaland, and then Raiola's going to be itching for another payday in two or three season's time, being a PITA every summer, and probably chucking in a clause for less than their investment.

Pogba has been at united for a long time with limited success

Also worth noting Man City owners couldn't care less about the money it costs to buy players, Man City's chairman on the other hand needs to save money

He hardly plays and is only playing because laporte wants out and stones wasnt ready.

I don’t get the Laporte situation.

How comes he wants out?

He was their most important defender at one point and is left footed so provides the balance, I know he had injury problems season before last but I would have expected once full my fit for him to be first choice to partner Dias?

Stones may have improved but surely Laporte is better?

Dias and Stones appear to have better chemistry on the pitch, I think it's just that simple. Sometimes you can put a slightly inferior player into a side and the side plays better, it's just one of those things.

He has just switched national team to Spain as well, so I think he wants to play football. Just not sure many value him at what City do nor can they afford his wages.
