I also can't see him getting bail if he's also raped someone this week (as he is charged with).

He also apparently broke his bail conditions, so i'd suggest remand is very likely...

Yeah, that he was initially arrested in October or November last year and there have been other offences after that, there should be outrage if he gets bail.

At first glance it seems that he is a serial predator. Will obviously hold full judgement but from reading between the lines and knowing how these investigations work, there must be overwhelming evidence to get charged with all 4 offences. Rape is notoriously difficult to prosecute successfully. I guess if you have 3 different victims who don't know each other and who tell similar accounts that is pretty damning, and makes it more likely to get a conviction for all 3 of them.

If found guilty I hope he is made an example of and given maximum time, and not because he is a City player.

Crikey. He's clearly in some need to help, as it's clearly a regular and on-going pattern

The crime reporter guy also said Mandy has also been charged with breaking bail conditions, so assume he’s been charged previously too?

Following the same guy. Hasn't mentioned pleas though, I assume not guilty!

Apparently his brief has requested bail, but the prosecution is opposing that.

Help? Nah. If the charges are anything near the truth, help is the last thing he needs. Rapists are monsters.

Well prison is a form of rehab so they say, maybe 20 years in the slammer will make him realise not to do naughty things.

Yep, he was arrested and bailed in November on one count of rape and one count of false imprisonment, and has been accused of all the others since then.

There's no way he gets bail. If 3 charges of rape are onthe same date (which will be the false imprisonment) AND he then commits further offences after being bailed, then he's a real danger.

Looking at the sentencing guidelines, if someone were to be convicted of what's accused and reported so far, it looks like it'd be in the 2A category, probably at the top end given multiple offence. Maybe a ~14 year sentence, and hence 7 years actually behind bars.

Some need of help?

People aren't born rapists - the reality is that the death penalty is no longer a thing, so if you believe and want to think that people can change, then 'help' is what encapsulates that reformation.

Prescribing 'help' is not some form of condonation. We're not in the 14th century any more.

(some elaboration: if someone does a thing once, it can be regrettable, it can be a misunderstanding, it can (in sort circumstances) be 'excused', potentially, in various ways. If someone does something serially, they clearly need help - e.g. it's something that is a 'problem' with them)

Difficult to assess, judge might think that because it's a high profile case and thus a high profile person they might want to make an example out of them.

Anyway I'm a bit surprised that City haven't come out and suspended him from playing, Everton has suspended Gylfi for example.
