I don’t think it matters who they have at manager to be honest, the whole club is such a mess. They have completely lost any semblance of an identity. They have no direction, scatter gun approach to signings. Spent the whole summer chasing a player that doesn’t want to join.

And if they are trying to sign you now, and you have other options........

I can see why Eriksen wanted a new challenge but manyoo are a fading force and it'll be a long time before they're anywhere near the level they were under Ferguson.

His salary probably softens the pain quite a lot.

Poch would be a good choice for them, but only if they gave him 2 or 3 seasons just to turn the club around. But the club and fans won't accept that. They still think they are the same team Sir Alex had.

I just don’t think they have a team above the manager in place that’s very well structured. The fans at this point utterly loath the owners and it’s going to get worse and ugly real soon. I don’t think they even know what to do, they look like a team (actually not a team at all) who don’t know what type of team they want to be. They need to build for the future and then go an sign Eriksen.

Ronaldo should have been out the door already, they never should have signed him
In the first place. An utter mess.

Funny as fuck - was pissing myself when Brentford's fourth went in :ROFLMAO:.

Think they'd be wise to be patient and back Ten Hag here. Today was hugely embarrassing but the last thing they need is another season of upheaval. They need to back the man they picked and accept that this season might be a write off.

Thing is United are run by idiots, have absurd expectations and a legion of hyper-critical pundits analysing their every move. The United machine may well chew up Ten Hag and spit him out before the World Cup even starts.

It's not the manager necessarily they need to replace first; it's a decent DOF. I just looked through their squad list. It's an absolute shambles. The money they've wasted is shocking.

They had one of them but made him manager and then binned him when they didn't like the advice he gave them.

They need a sporting director /dof desperately.

One that knows the football world inside out and like Paratici can get stuff done

Until then I don't think it really matters who is the manager as they will likely end up playing Fred and mctominay in midfield.
