I think the relegation battle is almost as interesting as the top 4 battle this year. Palace's run in is very difficult, as are West Hams last 3 games. Sunderland look down already, but they still have to play West Ham, Middlesbrough, Swansea and Hull, so could still turn it around with a miracle or at least play a part in which other teams go down.
They don't have Connor Wickham anymore though.

As West Ham don't own the stadium how can they sell naming rights?

It's not West Ham who are selling the naming rights, it's the LLDC. They get the first 4m of any annual revenue from a naming rights deal, West Ham get 50% of any money beyond 4m. So if it was 5m a year, West Ham would get 500K.

As funny as all this is watching it all go to shit in an athletics stadium, seriously why bother moving. They still advertise tickets for sale, loads of empty seats, the waiting list is obviously bull**** from Brady. They get nothing from naming rights.

They aren't going to make much more money like they were claiming they would, and for what to sit in a god awful bowl to watch football.

Haha, saw this in that stadium graphic in the news story: West Ham will pay £1m every year they win the Champions League for the next 99 years

Really, what is the point of a clause like that who the hell was negotiating for the taxpayer and screwing them on the basics but including this type of bizarre clause...

Apparently they want Lazar Markovic(who is on loan at Hull) in a move around about £16m o_O

Literally desperate for a big signing at the moment

Just reading this Vodafone story in the Evening Standard

Is that £20m a year for 6 years or £20m for the 6 years? If its the latter £20m over 6 years seems pretty shit...Still maybe with some external cash, the LLDC will stop raping the tax payer.

At least it won't be called the London stadium which will fuck up a lot of West Hams branding :D

The title of that article annoys me. It's not West Ham's stadium.

A poster on KUMB reacts to the rebranding with characteristic black humour...

"Vodafone stadium? Is nothing sacred? This shits on 12 months of club tradition."

While the fact that West Ham are set to earn the grand total of diddley squat from a six-year naming rights deal leads one poster on KUMB to write

"We are an absolute circus at times, aren't we"

To which came the reply

"What do you mean at times? It's the only thing we're consistent at - being run like a shambles." :D

All of which begs the question

"Why did we move stadium again?"

To which came the reply

"Did you not get the letter? This move is going to enable us to compete with the League's best."

And the sardonic follow-up

"Yes, but which league?" :sneaky:

Poor old West Ham. It's one thing to be run by a bunch of dodgy-dealing, untrustworthy shysters. It's quite another to be run by a bunch of incompetent, dodgy-dealing, untrustworthy shysters. :hilarious:

They actually do seem like a fairly funny bunch at times. Guess it's easy to nail self-deprecating humour when you support a club run by dildo-peddling dwarves.

They'd be great fun if they didn't hate us so much. They know how to poke fun of themselves.

Not sure I agree with you there mate
The next two games will be huge for Swansea, they need to get a point from Arsenal and have to win against Swansea. Come wednesday they will potentially be 3 points ahead of Hull and hopefully 5 points ahead of Swansea

Would be a strong possibility for match fixing in that one :woot::woot::woot:
