That they are talking about Chicharito being the best player to ever join the club says everything about them.

He wouldn't even get in our current side let alone make our 'top 30 best players to join the club' list!

On KUMB they are actually discussing West Ham finishing above us and more than one fancies it to happen...

They finished 41 points behind us last season:ROFLMAO:

Most deluded fans in English football. They make Liverpool and Newcastle fans seem sensible.

Well, post it here

The best bit in that article for me is that they've signed 33 strikers in 7 years apparently :ROFLMAO:

Well, post it here

I've had a look. Actually one sensible lad on there

I must confess that I don’t understand the logic behind comments about Spurs having to sell players to finance their stadium? Surely a team would only build a new stadium if the extra revenue generated from that stadium more than covered the costs of building it? Otherwise what is the point in doing so?

I read an article a few weeks ago about Tottenham’s new stadium project (although I confess that I can’t remember where I read it). The article stated that over the past several years Tottenham have so far spent about £350 million on the build and have managed to avoid taking on any debt to do so. They also have lined up a £400 million loan facility from a conglomerate of Banks to fund the project to completion. From that we can assume that they will go into their new stadium carrying £400 million of debt, so dealing in nice round numbers and taking 5% interest (I think their rate is lower than this at something like libor + 2.5%), it will cost them £20 million a year to service their debt. Won’t their new stadium make them about 4 times that amount in revenue?

With the above in mind why on earth would they need to sell players to pay for the stadium? It makes no sense at all. Surely their stadium will give them bigger revenues and more to spend, not the reverse?

Additionally I would’ve thought that Spurs have already gone through their frugal period while they have been having to pay considerable amounts for their stadium build (and also their new training ground) without yet receiving any of the additional income from their new stadium. I would say that Spurs probably now only have just one year of further frugalness to go while they are at Wembley – although even then they have just signed new shirt and kit sponsorship deals with AIA and Nike for a reported combined amount of £65 million a year, which is probably more than double what they were earning from that income stream last year.

Spurs have pretty much spent on transfer fees what they have brought in over the past several years and kept their wage bill at around 50% of their turnover. I would imagine they will continue in the same vein this year, but once in the new stadium I think the gloves can come off for them.

I reckon they'll spend the Walker money and whatever else they might bring in for any squad player sales (have they sold anyone else already?) later in the window when the money clubs have largely finished their business. I doubt they can buy anyone who would get in their starting line-up anyway - other than perhaps finding a player better than Trippier to replace Walker?

On to the points about us catching or even overtaking them this season. If this were the other way round we would be calling them deluded. They were miles in front of us last season and have only lost Walker form that team - and he seemed to be increasingly becoming second choice to Trippier last season anyway. I think we will definitely get nearer to them, their Wembley record is likely to be significantly inferior to their record at White Hart Lane and I think we will also end up about 5 wins better than last season. but we're not going to overhaul 40 odd points.

Not only did West Ham fans watching see their only opportunity of a trophy this season disappear before the season had actually started, they also suffered the ignominy of realising their club is so poorly known on the continent that German TV just copied down what was written on their badge. Still, better luck next year, West Ham United London...

Surprised it's not been mentioned but they drew with a german fourth division team yesterday, with most of the 'big hitters' playing and yes obv someone got sent off.
