What is the purpose of the law suit? Is it really such a damaging claim that it is worth spending significant money on a court case? Not to mention muddy the waters between your club and a club which apparently possesses someone you desire.

Pick your battles or better still don't and give us all something to laugh at.

Looking at the Lisbon tweet:

To which West Ham say "To say we never made an offer is nonsense and serious libel."

Where is the libel here? They have stated they received no offer, they did not say an offer was not sent. It will be hard to prove Lisbon received the offer unless they reacted to it. Which presumably they didn't hence their protestations, they gain nothing by lying about this as far as I can see. The only ones to gain will be West Ham trying to save face and show ambition.

Interesting they are not concerned about the derogatory words relating to porn and them being parasites.

Well it's not libel if it's fact.
