#WHUFC have confirmed Angelo Ogbonna sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury during Sunday's Premier League win over #LFC

He's been great for them at the back. Big loss.

They are looking good this season....but how many times have they started a season well only to drop off after christmas.

Hell, we looked unbeatable last year until early December. All very early still.

Plus they’ve pretty much been using the same eleven.

If Rice or Soucek get injured for example they only have Noble to back them up and he’s a big drop in quality nowadays.

And they have no centre forward apart from Antonio - who doesn’t have a back up striker? ?‍♂️?‍♂️??

@DJS I was going to say about one injury to Antonio....

But then I remember one injury to Kane.....and we will still continue with 0 shots on target.

But in the almost two games we played without Kane this season we actually looked threatening, at least on the break.

Without Antonio West Ham lost at home to Man United, but that was a suspension and United were still celebrating the return of Ron. It would be very interesting to see how they coped without him for a longer spell.

Wow talk about getting ideas above their station. The actual club Twitter account is using the #weremassive and Ogbonna has called it a “very special season”. It’s November FFS.

Spot on, the are doing exactly the same thing that their fans constantly try to accuse us of, getting ahead of ourselves.....yet they fail to see the irony.

It won’t be a special season for Ogbonna, looks like it out for the rest of it with an ACL issue ( sad for player but not for Spam)

I think they either do some sort of a Leicester, and by that I mean getting away with sitting back and hitting on the counter for the whole of the season, or they will start to slip away.

Don't get me wrong, I think they're very well set up, you more or less know the level of play you'll get from them and they always seem to maintain some sort of decent standard which is more than we can say, but it's just how sustainable their style of play is, particularly at home. It suits them away as they can naturally sit back and counter with the flow of matches more so being like that but I think they may struggle at home more times throughout the season.

They only just scraped past us and I think they were quite fortunate to win that, personally, despite how awful we were. They've also already lost to Brentford at home, dropped points to Palace at home and lost to United at home also. Of course they will win games there too and it's probably games like the Liverpool one just recently, against a team who will fully come on to them that end up suiting them better, similar to how we were miles better at home to City than we were at home to Watford for instance.

It wouldn't surprise me if they start to slip away, but it also wouldn't surprise me if every week I keep hoping and thinking they will and they don't.

ugh. Could be a bit of a turning point for them, although at least it's a finance guy rather than another state with limitless money.

Yeah, I'm not really overly bothered about this. No point in worrying about them becoming a financial force. This guy could be a twat, for all we know.

I just researched he owns 40% of Slavia Prague they've failed to win the league in 7years Sparta Prague have won it a fair few with Viktoria Plzen winning a couple so doubt it'll change much just another person making decisions alongside the dildo bros and Brady

Don't think it is anything to worry about just yet.

If someone is owning that percentage of the club they will not be putting a huge amount of their own money into the club as it will be diluted by the other owners.

Maybe it is a plan to gradually buy the club but I am sure there were things put in place when they moved to the Olympic stadium to ensure they couldn't do that easily but maybe doing it this way may get round those terms.

What isn't clear is if it was bought as an equity issue so the money can go into the club or if it was purchased from the current owners in which case it is just a bit of a pay day for them. I assume and hope it is the latter.
