What a mess they've got themselves into. They've gone backwards under Van Gaal. He's a rip everything up and start again kind of manager, which they didn't need at all, because they'd been doing a hell of a lot right for the previous 20 years. They'd have been better off sticking with Moyes.

Very much doubt Utd will look to change manager mid-season. They'll want Guardiola but their only chance of getting him is next summer. And Pep hasn't had to do a rebuilding job before so not sure he'd be as keen as many of their fans seem to think.
