If they don't improve their squad depth, they don't stand a chance at the title this season, and could even struggle for 4th. Their best starting XI is incredibly strong - beyond that they don't have a lot going for them, particularly in defence.

The focus has been very much on Chelsea all season. United have just been kicked out of Europe and been beaten by Bournemouth so they are bound to be in the headlines at the moment. Hopefully Chelsea will soon be back there after getting thrashed by Leicester.

1) Not for long hopefully...and
2) He's supposedly a world class manager brought in for a short term winning fix (he's retiring next season) and has spent £250m.

If United had brought in a young manager to build something for the future who'd spent modestly, it wouldn't be said that United are in such a mess right now. It's all context.

I just read that Mahrez cost Leicester 300k while Manchester United pay Rooney 300k every week.
