Nah, don’t want the neighbours to think i’m too posh

Do you live in the UK, because that's not how the NHS works? Also, having a nice place to work in helps productivity. Only one parameter of outcome in football is winning trophies, and it also matters which trophies.
Levy ain’t perfect, not in the slightest, however to those of you saying it’s his fault that we haven’t won trophies?? Bullshit. How is it his fault?
How many Finals/semi finals have we got to during his tenure? How was it Levy’s fault we lost to Utd last season? Chelsea the season before? The squads we have had have been good enough to win trophies.
League titles, you may have an argument, but even then we are competing against dodgy Russian and oil money
I do wonder sometimes if you people actually think things through before posting.

Your post reads like ENIC's portfolio - in order of priority, unfortunately. It depends on what the price includes. Don't underestimate just how much might well come with the club in any sale, not least a huge state-of-the-art training ground, a huge state-of-the-art stadium, a multitude of other properties and businesses, the offices and supermarket building with the college thing, and then you have the football side.

I mean now we're not just talking about the likes of Roman Abramovich, who is wealthy enough but actual nations getting behind football clubs.I think people often forget just how much dodgy Russian billions and rich Oil Sheiks have changed the landscape of English football.

And that's where each of us differ. And I do, humbly beg to differ. Imho, its appalling that ENIC have delivered 1 crap trophy in all their years in charge.
With expected mass viewing and the globalization of football, it was always inevitable that we would have to build a newer bigger stadium. And ENIC have done no more than any other global brand football club expects and deserves. Yes, sure it will be a great stadium and is a great Training ground...BUT on the pitch coming 2nd/3/4th is nothing. Not winning a decent trophy is nothing.
Trophies and titles are what count, not coming 2/3/4. Nobody cares nor remembers who came 2/3/4. They only care and remember the team that came 1st.
You may be happy and content with coming runner up, but I certainly am not. You may be happy to have ENIC but certainly am not if that's all they will do and not deliver trophies.
In terms of making money and running a business well, they have achieved that part, I accept that - but in football terms, delivering in their field of business which is football, they have failed. And no matter what people say, ENIC will leave one day with not 1 major trophy and that's unacceptable to me.
ENIC have a shit model and its plain to see its failed to win us anything.
Just think of it like this, think of a business, any business, a bank, post office, a hospital, whatever...And in each of those business what and how is success measured? Having a nice building for the people to work in or the customers to visit? Or...for a bank, make money by selling/providing its customers services or loans? Make money by delivering mail? Make money by treating patients and saving lives? Each of those businesses are measured within their own industry and in football its trophies. The better you are, the more customers come and the more money you make. Its not the other way around like ENIC perceive...You've got to speculate to accumulate as they say.

Slightly less than one.wow, how many we got?
Im not convinced they forget, more that they simply don't understand the concept.I think people often forget just how much dodgy Russian billions and rich Oil Sheiks have changed the landscape of English football.
I'm fairness, regarding the DoF, we have been back and forward on that several times since Levy has been in charge and it was Levy's choice to sack it off in favour of making Poch manager rather than head coach. I never heard anything about a possibility of him bringing back a DoF this summer.ENIC purchase Spurs in 2001 at a time we was a mid table team, and teams like Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool dominated the top 3 spots. all 3 were miles ahead of us in financial terms and competing for 4 trophies, at the time we was playing in a 36k seater stadium, with a training ground based in Chigwell that was pretty basic, and we never ever looked like getting into Europe let alone a top 4 spot.
Since then we have had Chelsea being taken over and at the start blew everyone out the water with throwing money at it, which then made it even harder. 5 years later City got taken over by the richest people in the world, and have continuously thrown money at it. that making 5 teams above us financially above us with little old us improving each season bar the Ramos 2 from 8 season, in our little old stadium that was never ever going to be able to compete financially for the 3 domestic trophies.
since 2005 ENIC have built us a top of the range training centre, and been buying land and paying whatever cost that had to be paid to build us a stadium that will one day be bringing in the funds to be able to compete, and to be involved as well as we have with a massive difference in finances for a total of 4 trophies 1 of which you have to beat the best of Europe can't be done on a shoestring. our profits up to last season are nowhere need what is needed to compete.
yes we needed signings this summer, but 1's that improved the squad, not squad fillers as we can't sell the ones we do want to sell. we even made it open to sell Toby, Rose and Dembele and no one came in. we also had the problem of Pochettino not wanting a DoF at a time we really needed one, because Levy had his hands full with the stadium, and we also had problems with the players we did go for, because the teams we were trying to buy off kept upping the price. the only one Levy could and should of got without the hassle was Grealish, but that was made even more difficult when Villa got the helping hand of joint owners.
yes if ENIC sell tomorrow they are going to make a fantastic profit, but the new owners wouldn't need to use their own money on anything other than buying and paying players. I doubt they will sell soon, as I don't see them selling till the flats and the rest of the development they have got permission for has gone up and are sold, and if they get permission to build on the storage yard.
whether they can finally compete in the transfer market that makes us a team that can compete I can only hope, but other than very rich owners, before them I doubt we would be having any more trophies then we have with them
The difficulty at this stage is that we are aiming higher than the silverware we can realistically win but we can't realistically win the silverware that we aspire to.

Regarding the summer transfer window, it was a bit of a disaster and Levy isn't blameless in relation to players targeted by his managers v players we've ended up with. There is a happy medium between giving credit where it's due - and he does deserve plenty and just defending everything he does.
Do you think that Grealish would have been a good player to invest in? He might have had limited impact this season but I can't help but feel that we should have got that done when we had the chance.I'm as unhappy as anyone that we never signed the players I would of loved to see join, though glad we never signed a Zaha or Martial, as I believe it would of meant disruption. Son, Lamela and Moura can all play in those attacking positions, and neither of those if we had signed them would of been happy with time on the bench, nor would the 3 we have. to much rotation causes too much disruption, and over the life of watching football the team with the most settled starting XI usually gets the gold. we have just been exceptionally unlucky with injuries and fixture schedules over the past.
we really need a strong DM, a good consistent CM, and from what I see so far a decent left back. honestly don't think Rose or Davies are good enough
