Levy on AVB:

"He has an outstanding reputation for his technical knowledge of the game and for creating well-organised teams capable of playing football in an attractive and attacking style."

I don't really care for the skewered sentiments of the OP, but this quote always makes me laugh.

It was true.

AVB was reasonably attractive and he attacked everyone at the club

That first quote is such unadulterated bullshit. Fucking embarrassing that you even posted it, let alone that 18 people have voted for it.

Here we go Bobbins. This is what Daniel Levy said, word for word, after doubling his money on Luka Modric. Read it through carefully, then you can apologise.

"Luka is a terrific player, and whilst we would have preferred not to part with him, we are pleased that it is to Real Madrid, a club with which we now look forward to sharing a long and productive partnership"

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez commented "The strong relationship betweeen our two clubs has resulted in the cementing of a longer term partnership. We look forward to working with Tottenham in the coming years.

Well done for finally posting the unedited version.............after others had already done so.

Well done for finally posting the unedited version.............after others had already done so.
I had to condense the quote to allow me to squeeze it into one of the answers you plank. The forum wouldnt allow me to put in the whole statement you see. But the unedited version says pretty much the same as the edited one doesn`t it. Out of interest, why did you choose to quote Levy after the sale of Gareth Bale in a ridiculous attempt to undermine me and make yourself look clever ? Do you feel foolish now ?

Just out of interest how do you think Levy compares to previous chairmen?
Apart from Scholar, I would say probably the worst ever. Even Sugar made an effort. He of course had to pick up the pieces. While Levy came in on the eve of the multi zillion £££ unprecedented premier league boom.

Just out of interest, how do you think the current chairman lives up to the club motto "Audere est Facere" To Dare Is To Do

Would you say having a lower net spend on transfers than the entire Premiership and half the Championship over the last 5 years backs him up ?

He said:
The only thing that's embarrassing is your strange campaign against the club.

I have no campaign against the club. I love the club. My campaign is against the profiteers and chancers running it. What is embarrrasing though is your relentless support of ENIC in general and Levy in particular. Do you actually have a sexual attraction to him or something ?

You're another one of those people that think chairmen should be rated on how much debt they generate, aren't you?

I think someone is forgetting the austerity and dumb as fuck decisions Sugar made.

I find Daniel very sexual. That shiny head makes me stiff.

In reality, I am grateful for them for:

a) Obliterating any debt the club has (look at the debt of those above us)
b) Committing to building a new stadium without losing our location or identity, despite the obstacles that they've faced over the last 10 years
c) Updating their stadium plans to ensure we are as competitive as possible
d) Constantly striving to improve the club by making decisions which are highly irregular for an investor - i.e. reinvesting all of the Bale money in transfers
e) Building a fooking huge training facility to allow us to develop and maintain our own players

They're good owners, or at least Levy is a good chairman, because he has moved the club on without overloading us with debt. If you judge success based on how much you spend, well, you'd be a shit businessmen.

If ENIC decide to pack up and go, we'd be a club built on granite foundations. How many PL teams can you even remotely say that about?

how was levy to know most of his managerial appointments would turn to shit, or commolli and baldini would blow budgets on shit, that the price of soladados left nut would have instead paid archway off, and that the training ground would spiral in value in the gold mine that land in the south east represents. ok, give you the last one. hes been unlucky, most of us would have made the same bets eg on hoddle, if not avb, but ceos and chairman are judged on results. buck stops.

non stick dan answers to uncle joe on the bottom line, however, not to the people who went to burnley or paid fifty odd quid for yesterdays fare.

ive lived in the far east for the last eight years, and never seen a local in a spurs shirt. hes missed a lot of opportunities, but is here to stay. he wont be getting much out of me when im home again from next season, but for now at least there are plenty of other old gits still willing. until our golden generation of fans dies off.

peace.

f) No, I just expect a little more ambition than Burnley when it comes to net spend

g) Thats cool

a) Do we get a trophy for that

b) What stadium

c) You mean altering there stadium plans to buy them time while looking for someone else to pay for it

d) Constantly striving to make a profit off the pitch, while weakening the team on it

e) Building a fooking huge training facility so we can nurture and grow young talent rather than spend in the transfer market, only to sell the most succesful products a when the the right offer comes along or the players head gets turned. A football factory.

The Spurs I grew up supporting never used to be known as a selling club, a feeder club, or a glorified training academy.

All things our good chairman and good owners are turning us in to. Audere est Facere, not any more

the only players we've sold who were important are those who practically went on strike. We're not a selling club, but we're also not slavers.

if you want to be pissed off at anyone, direct that at the players who skipped training to force us to sell.

They forced us to sell because the lack of material ambition shown by the club. Levy talks a huge game but doesnt walk the walk. Lloris is gonna demand a transfer too sooner or later.

No, actually. It doesn't. As I'm you are well aware. Your butchering gave the quote a very different spin.

Out of interest, why did you choose to quote Levy after the sale of Gareth Bale in a ridiculous attempt to undermine me and make yourself look clever ? Do you feel foolish now ?

Err..........I didn't. You have me confused with someone else.

So no. I don't feel foolish, thanks. You?
