Pathetically I turned it off at 2-1, and never expected anything else to happen. We should be getting massive respect for even bothering to try again at the end let alone actually salvaging something imo

Inside the head of the Liverpool fan.

First penalty - Kane is offside so the flag should be going up. Anything that happens after that is meaningless.
Second penalty - Lamela dived so should be booked. Anything that happened before that is meaningless.

Decisions should only be made at the moment they favour Liverpool.

Muppets.

Key moments maybe, but such a shame that all the post match media is about our penalties.

Can't be arsed with it all. Not a bad week all in all, 4 points from a possible 6 against direct rivals for Champions league spot.

I'll take that.

Phil Babb on ssn making himself look a right twat.

According to him, it shouldn’t have been a penalty because Lamela was facing away from the goal so it wasn’t a goal scoring opportunity and a penalty would give them a goal scoring opportunity therefore it’s unfair. He genuinely said that. And then when asked if it would be a free kick anywhere else on the pitch, he said ‘yeah it would be but I still don’t agree with it’

Such. A. Cock.

Well if we are talking strict letter of the law the Lamela is a fraction offside as well.

If we are talking strict letter of the law we should just bend over and give them the 3 points. After all, it is Liverpool. How dare we even contemplate taking anything away from them.

How I wish it was 6 points. Trust me, I'm pleased with 4 but had we won the fallout would have been even more pathetic than it is now. The entertainment value is priceless. ;)

It's funny, we all thought their fans would melt down but it seems their players and manager have got it even worse, their meltdown is Chernobylistic.

so annoying to hear all the pundits not know the rules
i am a ref, and Kane was not offside as he didnt receive the ball, he didnt challenge Lovren and made no difference to the pattern of play, he should only have been flagged if he received the ball from Dele, as soon as Lovren touched the ball a new phase of play became live, and you cant be offside when the opposition touched the ball
and the pen was an absolute stone waller, Lamela was smashed in the back of the leg

Exactly, especially when you consider that the Spurs team who started yesterday cost less to put together than Liverpool spent on Salah, Mane, Firmino, and Van Djik (or Dyke). We should be grateful that we were allowed to play with the same ball as them.
