I'm not at all surprised by this. He has at least 5 years left at the top, possibly 7 or 8 so still plenty of time. As said his family is here and for French people the #1 place outside of France is London. We will have a shiny new stadium in 18 months and he will be able to see whether the club starts to eat at the top table

I love Hugo's commitment to us. He is such a professional.

It would have been so easy for him to walk away after the World Cup given all crap with AVB and Sherwood. Yet he came back and basically signed a new contract straight away knowing that other clubs would be interest in him.

Also through out this new contract negotiation he never made it public or gave us a reason to doubt his commitment to the club and fans unlike Payet at the moment.
