Loco rumours from Spain & Juande on Zokora

As discussed in another thread Ramos is at Real Madrid, now the press are starting the obvious rumours about possible buys. veryone is aware that they need a winger after failing to get Ronaldo and sellin Robinho, well many journalists are calling for lennon to be bought, Mijatovic (sporting director) winked at the journalist when suggesting this, but also Bentley's name popped up a few times (personally i wouldn't mind this9).

However, another name that has popped up is that of Zokora, Diarra is out until next season and they are looking for defensive midfield cover and Zokora is apparently their ideal replacement for him as he can play champions league. The best part and one that blew me away is when Ramos said in an interview yesterday "when I arived at Spurs the player who impressed me the most was Zokora". Was he referring to his attitude or playing ability?

I think theres a lot more chance that he'll meet the release clause in Diego Capels contract than to go for Lennon or Bentley. Capel sees Real Madrid as his dream move, and now Ramos is there i can see him as one of his first signings.

I would also expect Poulsen to come up as another possible target. But Zokora is a real possibility. He's very versatile and the sort of player Ramos would be looking for. Most of our players are on long contracts though, and i cant see anyone being sold cheap. Bentley would have to cost at least as much as the £15-£17m we spent on him. And Lennon would now be valued at a similar rate.

I can believe that Ramos was most impressed with Zokora when he first arrived. If I recall he was stunned by the lack of physical fitness throughout our squad and highlighted that we didn't have enough in the tank to finish games and was particularly disappointed by how we collapsed against Blackburn in the final game before he took the reigns. In that respect Zokora was probably one player who stood out as having bags of stamina and an athletic ability that could match up to Ramos' expectations.

This may sound bonkers, but Zokora might actually do quite well at Real. No, I haven't been drinking. He would stand out athletically even more there than he does here and could actually be a presence, in a similar way to Sissoko being a success at Juventus, even though he couldn't kick a ball in a straight line towards the end of his Liverpool career.

This could actually work out very well for us. Imagine Real buy Zokora and Bentley for around £23M this gives us funds for Harry to do some deals.

It solves the headache of two right wingers fitting into the same team, meaning Lennon can play on the right and we can buy a left winger to complement and balance the midfield and a DM to offer some protection to the backline.

Word! He really stood out for me aswell, by far his best game in a spurs shirt. All he needs now is that elusive first goal. I for one will be going nuts when that happens!

Bentley has not been shite - he hasnt been as good as what he showed for blackburn yet but i think he will come good. even playing baldy his crossing has been 20 times better than lennons!

can we not clone them into one. with lennons pace and skill combined with bentleys crossing ability.

Plus, the goal agaisnt the scum was worth half the transfer fee alone!
