Bottom line, I don't think Real Madrid are interested in ANY Tottenham players IMHO. Example, why look at Lennon when you can get Silva? Different stratosphere entirely.

Really? Is that what you think? Really? Utter shite? Really? All Season? Really? Are you sure?

What's with the sarcasm mate? You got Parkinson's or something?

Bentley has been utter shite all season, and that Arsenal goal is the only thing that is still making some people think he's worth the money.

Zokora is twice the player Bentley is, and I really do not want to see him leave. I hope Redknapp sees the importance of Zoko to the side and hold on to him.

Wasn't Bentley one of the players that stuck the boot into Ramos when he left?

Thought the media where reporting that he was unhappy with the role he had and being droped for one of our Euro games.

Over the years I have had the impression that Real Madrid buy players for their squad without reference to their coach. Whether Ramos can change that is questionable. Having said that, I would expect that Ramos would be more interested in his old Sevilla squad than ours, as he must feel very disappointed with the lack of support from Spurs players.

I would be far more concerned if the rumoured targets were Modric and Corluka, rather than Zokora and Bentley.

I agree with yusrisafri that, other than the glory gooner goal, Bentley has been very poor. But, it's too early to pull the plug on him so early in his Spurs' career. With being a big Spurs fan he does appear to be trying too hard, but his performances have been very poor, bordering $HITE. Jenas on the other hand continues to put in poor performance after poor performance, but somehow retains his "starting" spot in the 11. Every 8-10 games he puts in a good game and like Groundhog Day everyone thinks he's wonderful again. In contrast, it's not too early to pull the plug on Jenas (I know it sounds harsh, but this is my honest opinion). Zokora always shows the required work rate and urgency for the premiership. I've never seen him "drift" out of a game.

Overall, if Real Madrid come in for any player at Spurs, then they will go -- it's bloody Madrid ffs. However, I doubt that Madrid is interested in ANY Spurs players now that Berbatov is gone.

In your opinion maybe, although you have neglected to state why you thought he wasn't excellent given that you made your point as a matter of fact.

He has been much improved in recent weeks so credit where it is due.

Blanket ignorance of a parrot variety does not make a decent argument from anyone.

I see your point, but he wasn't excellent. He was good, and he has played well lately but he has never been excellent. His first touch was shoddy to say the least and his passing certainly wasn't excellent. Good for him, yes, but excellent? You need to have higher standards!

I just have trouble tollerating idiots. "Utter shite" is such an over statement it just makes you look fucking stupid. Someone the other day made a joke aboit how he can't run past anyone, then against West Ham he constantly tortured the full back. The fella is class, and has played well. Just becasue you thought all he could do was cross the ball doesn't make it so.

if someone pays 15 mill on you, you would be expected to be able to cross the ball beyond the first man. he shoots when he should pass, passes it to the opposition when he should cross. Bentley is, unfortunately, the type of player that performs about once in 4 games.

i used to think lennon had no end product, next to bentley lennon is kaka

Didi has been one of our best players in the last few months, he's one player I would not want to see leave us now, Harry's getting the best out of him, he was excellent against the Spammers Monday.

That's why we love this game, such diverse opinions.

If Madrid want Zokora I will personally pay for his air fare and escort him to the Bernabau

....can understand why ramos was impressed though cos he probably eats very well and never goes out on the piss

This is the biggest problem Bentley has at Spurs. People will always judge him based on what the Club spent on him. But its not his fault the transfer fee was so high. Its the same with Darren Bent. If those 2 players hadn't cost so much then they wouldn't get half the criticism they both get. But should we be blaming the player on that? Of course not. Its the Club who spent that sort of money on them.

I wish the Club were able to keep all their transfer fees undisclosed instead. It would help the players out a great deal.

Hear hear. He is so unintelligent that it remains a mystery to how we were daft enough to pay 15mil for him. Typical overrated English footballer.

Bentley going to Madrid?:rofl::rofl::rofl: I'd personally buy his air ticket and book his hotel room.

I seriously doubt that Real will be trolling us for players.
It's the same old media...2 + 2 = 5.
But should any deal go down...hopefully we can get Javi Garcia in return, a young Spanish DM.

With regards to Zokora I said this about a year ago:

http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=677266&postcount=96

I'm not trying to be controversial here but I'm surprised that no-one has suggested Zokora actually might fit in with Ramos's ethos. High energy, efficient give and go passing, consistant performance level and can get up and down. I don't think Jenas would be far off either (where jenas would need to cut out the silly errors on the passing side Zokora could improve his ball winning). Before eveyone jumps on my back, I'm still not saying he's fucking wonder bread, but his game is fairly near to the mark of what Ramos looks for in his CM's.

Now if you put him into the context of the slightly slower Spanish league as well it isn't so surprising. Personally I don't think he's RMadrid class but many top teams like to have players like Zokora who are high on energy, have good pass success ratios and work purely for the team, whilst letting the billy big bollock stars do all the clever stuff.

No, Zokora is half the player I am.

Granted, he's been steadily getting better and he's been good recently but let's not get silly.

I just don't understand the Zokora bashers. Were you real Madrid fans up until 2005 or something. Did you not ever see the complete wankers we had wearing our shirt for the best part of the previous 20 years. Freund is worshipped but he's half the player Zokora is - he even ran away from Roy Keane the faggot.

Zokora constantly turns in a performance, week after week. He is rarely poor. He and Jenas are being asked to be jack of all's. Most of the knockers on here just do not understand the game to keep calling them shit. Half of them would replace him with Parker - fucking parker the bloke who Zokora dominated Monday.

It's riduculous and shows a distinct lack of intelligence. He aint Davids or Seedorf but he inhabits the next rung down of very good midfielders who rarely let their side down despite playing in a very difficult, fast, physical and ever more skillfull league.

There are fewer more competant and consistant players we've had in recent years than him.

I wouldn't want us to get rid of Zokora. He's been playing well recently and is a good squad player at worst. Maybe as Ramos rated him highly enough to give him the vice captaincy he'll take Jenas.

Unfortunately alot of people seem to expect him to be both a ball winner and then have the first touch of fabregas and the long range passing of Hoddle... He is a player for a specific role; pressing the opposition when they have the ball, and filling gaps when other players bomb forward when we have the ball, and he is doing it very well at the moment

If he has players like Modric and Huddlestone to give the ball to there is no problem, unfortunately when he and Jenas play together, sometimes their individual weaknesses are somewhat exposed..
