Been saying for a while we should sign him. Proven in the PL and pace to burn. Could play as an out an out striker or as a WF.

After watching him play for QPR last spring I was entirely convinced. Made some fantastic goals on his own with the rest of his team still squabbling at each other around the midline. Feel he would've been a far cheaper, and probably more reliable, option than Soldado.

Can also see exactly why Redknapp wanted him. Would have been lethal on the break with him, Bale and Lennon in the team.

Yup. We'd have certainly been in the Champions League had we grabbed him instead of QPR.

Never understood why we didn't sign him from Marseille. Would be a great option as third striker too

He's very flexible as an attacker, he is so pacy he is comfortable on the flank but he's actually a very good header of the ball and he has shown that he can score goals in the PL. He wouldn't be my choice as the first choice main striker, but he is a very good striker/attacker to have in the team
I was a bit concerned about his talk of retiring before he moved to QPR, sdeemed a bit strange and rather premature, but moving to the PL seems to have given him that boost and maybe greater challenge that looks to have buried that thought

He's more suited to the way we play, and I don't actually see Arsenal going for him despite the paper talks. He is a lot older than I thought he was, but still got years in him. I think we should go for him, he has proven he can score goals in the league and striker wise that's what we need.

Sad to say I think he will be more effective than Soldado has been.

Bit worried that we may have missed our chance before QPR landed him and a team willing to offer higher wages/Champions Leagus may come in for him

He is not the type of striker we need and most definitely not come here to be a squad player. However that saying he could be useful in a 4-3-3 formation playing from the right wing.

I feel that we need someone who will be involved in all aspects of play, being able to drop deep to receive the ball, constant hassling of the defenders, have the ability to play off the shoulder of the defender. Basically we need a Suarez Mark II.

I'd go along with that partly but I think he is a pretty versatile player, not exactly a winger so much as a very useful wide striker and one who can play the main striker so capable of filling either role and it has to be said he's very good aerially and has plenty of pace combined with decent strength. I've been quite surprised that he has scored the goals he has especially given he's missed some games with injury but in part it's because he is quite a flexible striker and a little unpredictable.
I agree he wouldn't be my first choice main striker but as a player who can play that role if the first choice is injured and play a wide attacker role when not that's a pretty good option to have.
As far as a Luis Suarez mark 2 player goes I could see this lad Lacazette at OL developing into a Suarez type player, maybe not the same level as the exceptional Suarez but he does always seem to be buzzing around looking for chances and I think would be a good addition

Lacazette would be an exciting prospect, indeed. The kid is very talented. (y)
