I would take him for 8m. Wide forward and striker covered. No brainier, wants CL tho. Won't be us that get him. Arsenal I would think.

I'm not entirely convinced Arsenal would pursue him, as I think they may finally get aggressive in finding a major striker this summer. Remy at that price is an absolute bargain though.

I guarantee if we don't sign him, another top 6 team somewhere (if not England) will snap him up and he'll get them at least ten goals.

Ten goals for us would be monumental. Really want to pursue him, but we either won't or try to bargain too much and lose out.

This guy in place of any one of lennon/townsend/siggy/chadli (pick you chosen scapegoat) is an absolute no brainer.

1/2/6/5 goals replaced by at least 10-15.

We need goals!!!!

Would probably end up spending most of season on our treatment table such is our luck with injuries

France Football understand Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy has a concrete offer from Tottenham Hotspur. #THFC

Thanks for that. Not sure I understand 'why Remy?' when we are seemingly also interested in Rodriguez who plays in the same position - forward who plays off the left. I guess Rodriguez is out for 6 months which means end of Oct earliest.

Would so much prefer Morata, he is much younger with a much higher ceiling and can play on the left and up front. ultimately I think we need a creative on the left not a forward, someone like Firmino or Kono.

For a rumoured £8m, he'd be an interesting signing. A little too injury-prone for my liking, and I'm not sure he holds up the ball well enough to play as a lone central striker. But he is versatile enough to play on either wing, and could well replicate the role Jay Rodriguez performed for Pochettino at Southampton.

Basically a wide striker for the reasons you mention.

Interesting point picked up from COYS...

It was Broomfield who was the one pushing for us to sign him in the first instance and it was Broomfield who signed him for QPR.

If we really are getting Remy then that means no Morata and potentially no new left wing as well if Remy is seen more as a left inside forward then a striker. He is a decent player but way to injury prone for me and sometimes is far to selfish for my liking, there where points last season when he reminded me of Defoe and not in a good way. A decent signing but there are others i would greatly prefer.
