The sensible thing would be to sign both Eriksen and Paqueta. Only signing one creative central midfielder will leave us having to play a 343 every game unless we sign another player to cover/compete with Eriksen.

We can make room for both by selling both Moura and Bergwijn and sending Gil out on loan again.

Unless we bring in a forward who can play across the front 3 I would still be looking to bring in one quick, tricky and impactful player to replace both Bergwijn and Moura.

Bentancur, McKennie, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Sarr (loan out)
Paqueta, Eriksen
Son, Kulusevski, Diaby
Kane, target man/versatile forward

Remember him being touted as the next big thing a couple of years ago but his move to Milan just didn’t work out.

But seems like he’s restored his reputation after a couple of good seasons at Lyon.

Love being linked to these sort of players. But doubtful if we’d do this deal as well as Eriksen.

Biscuits? Crisps? Or Cigarettes?
God knows I haven't always been a saint but I pray that there's still a warranty on Ndombele so we can trade him in for a Paquet of whatever you prefer.

He actually was doing really well at Milan for gattuso in a e man midfield. Had alot of energy was chipping in with assists and goals. That's when piatek and Paquette were brought in and Milan started eoijgm very well It wasn't until pioli took over next season and changed to a 4-4-2 that Paquette struggled with pioli going on to admit he doesn't fit into his formation. He was also playing him as one of the outside midfielders but he's a lot more effective centrally in a 3 as an 8 or 10. Excited about this one as I rate him but will see where lyon is on this.

From a Brazil Spurs account : apparently this is Paqueta in a Spurs kit (2014/15). Guess he got influenced by Paulinho playing for us ;)

This lad would be a great signing. Versatile, very skillful and gets amongst the goals.

Now this Brazilian i really want. Seriously skilled and still hasn’t reached his full potential. Absolutely quality player, would be much better suited to playing wide then Richarleson if it were ether or. Hopefully it isn’t tho and we bring him in anyway. Would bring a lot to the team imo.

I didn't know he existed until the West Ham Europa tie

As ever, if Conté wants him then fine with me. Like many others, however, I have my reservations about whether he would make the step up to the Prem. Whether he would have the time or hesitancy from opponents to pull off those tricks.

There seem to be no reservations whatsoever about his motivation and work rate though and perhaps that's what AC sees. Perhaps he can coach him to blend his obvious talent with decision making etc. to become really effective like Kulusevski

I don't think this is the case but I wouldn't want him at the expense of Eriksen as we really need players to make an impact this season

But if in addition to Eriksen and if we could somehow include N'Dombele in the deal then fine. We'll almost have to give him (TND) away mind you given that he's on 200k pw and Lyon couldn't manage half of that. It's probably £10-12m off any transfer fee that they might agree to :spitoutdummy:

There is always something exciting about signing a brazilian although our record with them isn’t the greatest it gets the juices flowing.

Rumoured for the same price as richarlison (€60m/£51m). Bet there's a lot less kickback on this one.

The Everton tax is real.

Where would he play in Conte’s system?
Depends if he will now play a three man midfield. Or at least some of the time.

I suspect had Skipp not been I injured we might have seen this more after Bentancur signed
