Raphina would be an even better signing tbh as knows the league, if we could pull that off all would be forgiven lol (sorry to be off topic don’t shoot me! ??).

Strange how Liverpool manage to buy him since they have Mane, Jota and Salah , ? thought you could not get world class players when you already had those spots filled? Ah right that is only at Spurs :)

We were talking about Liverpool beating us to the signing of Diaz and the reasons / context around that.

Diaz is joining Liverpool so what else do you want the thread to be about now?

Spamming off topic to a hundred posts is your answer is it when there are actually more off topic posts around you don’t do that to. Really….it’s odd behaviour.

You have derailed and been extremely negative in so many transfers threads throughout this window, constantly going off topic and spreading pessimism, no your not the only one but certainly a key central figure this window... this type of behaviour has led to our ITKs to become extremely reluctant in posting and they have every reason to feel that way.

Here is a very very small sample from you in this thread , surely you can see why they are off topic i'll be astounded if not...

But they already have an exceptional side so it's not easy to improve.

FSG appointed him mate

Yep, and now also selling Minamino who hasn't cut it and Origi. They are such a well run club, even with their outgoings. They don't hang on to players too long if they don't make the grade. Although Origi has actually been an amazing super sub for them. All you can ask for from a back up striker.

They finished third ffs. The grass is greener at Liverpool, you are in absolute denial it's comical. How can you put in "qoutations"that they are a well run club, like they aren't. You are coming across just bitter. RAWK is self entitled because they won a PL and CL and still moan. It's a...

This fundamentally wrong. Their scouting and recruitment has been exceptional. They have backed Klopp with key signings when it matters (VVD, Allisson) plus recruited basically their whole side, Robertson, Wijnaldjum, Salah, Mane, Firminio, etc etc all great signings for little money. Every...

Yeah.

If you wanted to ensure you get quality players in regardless of what is going on then you would have a smart strategy in place.

A strategy such as having 3 or 4 quality attackers lined up. Knowing that clubs like Liverpool are interested too, you'd move quickly to draw them out, so that they are out of the picture, then you'd move to another quality option.

Liverpool have been linked with Raphinha, Antony, Bowen and a few other attacking players.

We aren't going to be some player's first pick, so we need to find a way to get these clubs off the table of options for these players.

Maybe we are doing that now, but it doesn't really feel like it.

It does make sense. Raphinha for example has been linked with Liverpool and Utd. Currently you don't see Utd justifying an expensive winger. Liverpool getting Diaz opens things up a little.

He was linked to Bayern however, that could be the problem if we were in for him. Plus Chelsea of course just because they love to screw with us and stockpile talent.

Raphinha would be a statement signing but no way we pay up for him. Would have to be an offer they can’t refuse.

Chelsea will sign him in the summer is my guess.

Yes, it's a strange one that. How come the six time Champions League winners and nineteen time English champions can do that and we can't?

Good to hear but it's completely fruitless if we are not going to make Leeds an offer they can't refuse.

Also, it is so late in the window, Leeds are likely to tell us to do one.

They've also clarified its just interest. At this stage to have any chance it'd have to be a lot more than that.

Yeah. Bayern and Chelsea would be a cause for concern, he will certainly choose them if he had the choice.

Which is why you need to show serious intent. And early on too.

Its been proven many times that this 'hush hush' approach is always vulnerable to a loud-mouth agent or being used to get a better deal elsewhere.

I appreciate that even a strong intent can fail, but at least you know the score early doors and know that you did everything you could.

Yep. Not good enough.

By the time summer comes around, Bayern and Chelsea will be ready to do business and we won't have a look in.

Yeah of course. Had Juve not found £63m down the sofa I think we may well have beaten Arsenal to Vlahovic. Groundwork had clearly been put in there.

I don't know if Paratici is capable of hush hush unfortunately.

With someone PL proven like Raphinha or even Calvert-Lewin you have to be willing to pay above the odds. Likelihood is they'll be well worth it. I think it needs something on that desperation scale for Paratici and Levy to turn the negative narrative around now. I'm just not convinced you can do it this late (clubs need replacements, etc...).

Don’t Chelsea have enough players exactly like him though? ?‍♂️
