Bassong is fairly muscular, quite strong. Bit of a donkey in possession though!

Shame Seb lost his place and with it, his confidence. Not saying he should not have lost his place in the first team as we have better options but he looks half the player he did when at Newcastle and in his first season for us.

If I were the Geordies I would look no further than Seb to be honest. Mind you, apparently he isn't well liked up there because he wanted out when they went down ( not that much of a shock surely? ) so I guess it's a non-starter.

He outperformed Collocini the season they went down, considerably.

I don't think Douglas will do well in the PL, not based on his ability - based on a sort of gipsy feeling I have in my balls. Luuk de Jong will be good though, shame we're not after him - but we're getting Falcao eh?

Douglas has good physical attributes although he is a bit of a beanpole. His technique is questionable to say the least though! Bit of a donkey when in possession. Jan looks like Diego Maradona by comparison.

Oh yeah. He's got size though and Newcastle don't have huge reserves at CB. He can be their Dawson. (you can take any way you like I guess )

He doesn't look that good to me - all the You Tube clips i see are against crappy defenses - he is clearly brimming with confidence from being in a crap league (like Kezman)...

Sure his dribbling seems to be better than Pav's but its not amazing and he certainly doesn't have the blistering pace that we need upfront. Maybe an upgrade on Pav but never going to be nearly as good as Adebayor

that's a shame - he would be a nice fit with VDV and Spurs' attack...

he was never a heavy link in the press, but he would be a good asset
