It is a question for another thread but i do feel like this is the biggest game in my Spurs supporting career.

Yeah I had the three or four finals but in terms of magnitude, nerves, excitement, what it would mean to the club, players and fans - this is just huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

I don't feel as nervous as I did when we played them in the league away the first time we qualified for the CL...that was such a nervy game. We had flirted with the prospect of CL football for so long, to finally get it was massive.

This feels different, I think no one would have expected us to get this far but we have now put ourselves in a fantastic position to progress, lets just hope the lads do us proud tonight.

Poch: Okay Erik, I’m bringing you on. Remember, it’s a Champions League QF. No silly challenges. The score is 1-1 so I just want you to help us control the ball more in midfield & see us through the final 20 mins.

I agree. For me, I thought back to the away performances in Madrid, Juve, Dortmund (twice), Barca, Chelsea, United and Arsenal (EFL Cup not league) and it tells me we are more than capable if we are on it. Those games I mentioned were not lucky one offs. This team have worked to get here, much like Ajax are doing. Madrid for them was no fluke as proven last night.

I agree with you there, I forgot to mention that game, that game was perhaps more nerve wrecking simply because I had never experienced spurs in the CL so for us to have made that was a really special moment.

I think this game today would show further progression. We have made the quarters before albeit against Madrid so for us to go beyond is another step.

I think this game means so much more than a place in the semi finals. If we manage to get through, mentally it is huge. It will mean we've beaten the favourites, and finally would validate that we are one of the big boys.

Have we heard any latest injury news on Winks? Feel he could be crucial in us being able to retain the ball rather than giving it back to them cheaply

When was the last time Spurs failed to score away?
Chelsea in February. Before that against Palace in the Cup in January.

However, the last time we failed to score in the Champions League away was in October 2016 against Leverkusen.

As some are saying i'm not hugely nervous about this game compared to other ones in the past. Even in the group stages nobody expected us to get through after that bad start, they all said no chance. Then onto dortmund and they were flying high in the bundesliga with sancho destroying teams and everyone said no chance but we won and did a great job at it.

on to City which everybody again said no chance and we came out 1 nil winners in the first leg. Still for this game nearly all pundits etc think we will go out, if we do it is expected and if we win then bonus. I enjoy when we are the underdogs.

It’s a 5am kick-off for those of us down under, so I’m in for a long nervous night in front of the telly.

Wouldn’t say I’m confident, but have every reason to believe the boys will give it a good shake, and that’s all you can ask.

COYS !!

Despite my strong jawline, dreamy eyes and devil-may-care attitude that most women (and some men @rez9000) can’t resist, I’m a natural pessimist; it’s paradoxical to be so given how gifted I am. I’m not expecting us to win, or go through.

But I’ll maintain my pledge that Monty, the family hound who loves chewing my trainers, gets another free pass on them if I’m wrong and we get through to the semifinals. In fact, he can have them forever, or until he eats, digests and shits them out on the kitchen floor. Either way, if the boys find a way, Monty gets to play.

He’s sleeping right now and has no idea what’s at stake. I somehow feel like a god, a god of small, furry things

I'm walking around work like nothing is phasing me, yet inside my body is trying to pass the biggest boulder of shite through my arshloch. It gives a whole new meaning to 'bricking it'.

I dont even know if I can watch tonight I'm that bad, might just tune in around 10, mute the telly, cover my eyes, turn on sky then slowly peel my hand away to see the score.

Fuck this shit, fuck you football.
