What a top top young lad: hope all goes well for him!! (y)
Thanks! Last time I saw him his confidence was shot from all the chemo, so it's great to see him so self-assured in this clip. (I'm in Brisbane so only see them once a year.)

How do I post pics from my phone in a comment? It's asking for a URL but of course there isn't one.

I remember seeing the competition announced. I was getting all ready with a clean, crisp 433 formation and all my favourite players in their best positions and no crap CM and all that. Then I noticed the age requirement and pondered buying a fake ID ...

Just saw and shared this on my Facebook. Looks like genuine warmth from poch and the little legend fully deserved that special day. He'll go from strength to strength.

We've led the way in Charity work in UK football for years and years.

Absolute class act with this stuff.

I saw that and was very impressed. Great work by the club, and best wishes to your cousin.

Great stuff from the club and I wish your 2nd cousin all the best.
Thanks! 2nd cousin, that's the one. And that's his brother with him, who I'm glad to see is firmly in the Spurs camp too because he was veering dangerously close to Chelsea last time I saw them. Thought I'd have to work on him but Poch has it covered.

Sorry if I'm milking this but it's the first time being a Spurs fan got personal, so I feel like sharing. Asked my dear cousin what the day was like and got this (she doesn't give a fuck about football).

------

"Yes, very, very lucky - it was an amazing day!

The training centre is unbelievable, it is immaculate and huge, everything is pristine and so impressive. It's like another world, loads of huge pitches, a massive swimming pool, huge gym - "state of the art facilities" I guess they call it .

We waited outside and when they were ready to do the photo shoot the players all filed past the boys, shook their hands and said hello and were all really nice, but they didn't really chat with them so don't really know what they were like. They have a glow about them though, I was very star struck and you can imagine how the boys felt! They were utterly thrilled!

Mauricio was absolutely lovely, he was really warm and smiley and gave Luke hugs. I was really impressed with him, he really put Luke at ease.

Everyone we met was extremely welcoming and friendly and kept thanking us for taking part (!) and generally made us feel special. It could have been very different.

The press conference was very scary - it's a dedicated room and full of men, loads of cameras at the back and everyone takes it all very, very seriously. I was really impressed by Luke coping so well, although everyone had been so nice and Mauricio was so sweet to him (did you notice when he welcomed him in he said, "I think I am more nervous than him" which I thought was a very sweet way of letting everyone know Luke would be nervous and also making him feel more confident).

It was an amazing day and the boys absolutely loved it. I wish all Spurs fans could have the same chance, it was awesome!"

So our players "glow". Definitely going to win the NLD.

Mauricio has to be the most likeable manager in the league.

I really love our club. You could see Poch's reactions he genuinely cared and it wasn't a case of being forced to do this on a day of training before the NLD. Should give the boys hopefully an extra motivation and edge too.

What a nice, mature young lad. I'm chuffed to bits for him. Wishing him all the best in the future, mate.
