Paddy Power have now paid out on the 'Tottenham Manager for first game of season 23/24' market. (y)

Still no such luck on Sky Bet though, but gives hope at least that they will.🙏

Agree with your comments mate but we're in trouble if we only sign one CB. Need two. Going into next season ideally Romero, Laporte, Dier and Kilman
+ Lenglet?

On topic: buzzing, properly excited for the first time since... AC was appointed. Let's hope AP goes the way we all hoped AC would.

I’ll admit I wasn’t keen on Ange, especially with Naglesmann, Poch and others seemingly available. But after seeing multiple videos like this one its easy to warm to him and feel excited.

Completely forgot one of my mates is a Celtic fan!
Are we still accepting comments from mates who are Celtic fans or have I missed the boat on that?

I don’t wanna ask him in case it’s no longer relevant to SC, pissed off I missed the boat on this!

Maguire would be a risky but sensible signing
Ummm, ‘risky but sensible’…?

Please, for the love of all the gods, don’t start investing in exploratory Oil/Gas drilling.

Just pay the mortgage - there’s a good chap. 👍

Will find out our first home game for next season on June 15th , can we take out all the anti Levy feeling and give Ange and team all the support they need, hopefully with some much needed new blood in defence.
And as Ange & Munn both arrive officially on 1st July , should it be declared Australia Day in Tottenham. :)

Yes but you just know the “completely random, honest” fixture computer will have us home against Poch’s Chelsea in day one. Just like it randomly put us home against “Kane bound“ City in 2021.

I bet we're away first game of the season.

The scum will get a gimme home game someone like Luton

We'll get a tricky away game like Newcastle away

All I need now is a 20 minute Spurs TV Interview where he tells me all the right things and I just let his words wash over me.

Can’t say I know too much about this guy. On paper all looks and sounds good, and the way we should have been going 5 years back, but then tbf you could probably pick literally hundreds of prospective coaches out there who’d want to attack, dominate possession, press, use young and academy players, etc. The proof will be in the pudding…..

Haven’t got any problem whatsoever with his track record and what level he has been managing at previously. I always say that reputation and having a shiny CV is irrelevant to me. I think our club should be making risky managerial choices quite frankly, taking a chance and plucking a guy from “lower reaches” whose star is hopefully on the rise. You’d do that with player transfers, so why not managers? The way I see it if we want to reach the top, especially given some of the financial disadvantages we face, we need to try and identify outstanding modern football coaches before they hit the big time. Rather that than boring, unimaginative, obvious appointments of whoever fans deem the “biggest name” available at that point in time.

As with every manager though, I’ll judge it on what I see on the pitch, whether we win, lose or draw. If I like it, I’ll say so. If not, I’ll stick the boot in

Hoping though that we can start to see some modern possession football, married to hard work both with and without the ball. That should be the sole focus. Put in enough performances, and we’ll get good outcomes.

Fans also have to be realistic, the transition might take time – especially given we’ve been such a passive, negative, possession play allergic football team for so long – and not to be having a meltdown every time we have a hiccup. There needs to be some breathing space, no good for anyone if the boos ring out everytime it’s 0-0 at HT, we get loud noises about who we could have got with every point dropped, or social media is in meltdown every weekend Chelsea win and we don’t.

Also hope further restructuring continues to happen…. A DOF, academy, scouting, medical, data analysis, you name it…. Need to aspire to improve every department, find our niches and where we can be best in class that isn’t so financially dependent, and use this to aid our way back up the table.

Looking forward to a pic of Big Ange on the beach, supping a cold beer in his Spurs budgie smugglers later this week
