A lot of stories coming out regarding pretty much everything but I feel enthused if some of these are true.

+ Kane staying this season at least.
+ Lenglet and Danjuma options not being taken up.
+ Open to Hojbjerg and Dier going.
+ Links to more technical players.
+ Signing a GK like Raya.

If all of this is true it signals a real change and shows that we are trying to mould the team in Postecoglou's style.

A new coach always needs to be able to walk in the door and lay down the law, showing its his way or youre out.

Dont think Conte or Jose were really allowed to do that - probably because it way risky to let them bring in a load of high earning tactical players wed get lumped with.

Poch had to do this during his first season.

Makes me feel like we will get there quicker with Ange.

Of course all of this needs to actually happen but considering there were strong reports Dier was getting a new contract and Lenglet was going to be kept on, i feel a bit more optimistic itll be Anges team.

Now this is an Ange team I could get really excited about. Kulu might be the weakest link, so swap him for someone like Chiesa who wants to leave junventus and we could be seriously cooking next season.

Looks great. I would be over the moon if we sign Raya, Laporte and Maddison.

To play devil's advocate.....Kulusevski has had a poor season but he was tremendous the season he joined....It's not a stretch to say he was one of the best players in the league in the final months of that season and he was a huge part we got that 4th spot. If Ange can get him back to that form he could be really exciting (and still only 23).

Still massive question mark about Udogie and I think we are all getting a little carried away assuming he comes straight in and performs. Davies is very competent back-up for the position but if Udogie can't adapt that could be a weak spot for us.

The starting 11 looks great but the true test of a squad is strength in depth. Who comes in if Romero or Laporte get injured? We are also thin on the bench for the attacking positions.

Realistically, I think we need another 2 quality CBs for back-up, a Hatate/Gallagher type player to add depth to midfield, an attacking player and a LB if Udogie does not perform (in addiiton to the players you have listed). Not saying anything groundbreaking here but I really think it's 2024/25 season at earliest that we start to perform.

I would also add that we're getting linked to a few premier league proven players (Raya, Laporte, Maddison, Barnes) which I think will really help the new manager in his first season
Less foreign players who need to adapt to the league

getting "linked" is a long way from actually "getting"

Ladbrokes finally paid out on Ange being Spurs manager at the start of the season!

Does fixture release day officially count as the first day of the new season then?

I had same with Coral this evening too (yes, I know they are the same company).

I had an argument with customer services last week. They were saying that they didn't know who the manager was going to be - I sent them links from Spurs official site, BBC, Sky Sports, Celtic and something else.
But the Cs guy was still telling me it could change before 1st game of the season....I know we're Spurs, but even that would be a shocker for us 🤣🤣

You are trying to politely say that less foreign players means less chance of getting stuck with another version of Ndombs!

I’m sure this has been posted 100 times but I like it. I can’t overlook the fact he doesn’t say **** once so that’s a negative but I’ll put that down to it not making the final edit. Liked the fact he’s really hands on in training which it seemed Conte and Mourinho were more stand offish in that regard. Liked the we can rest at HT and FT when we’re celebrating our win line.

Yes it has. Yes it fucking has, but after 100 times, thank you for posting it again because you 'like it'. ;)

There are videos I like but I wouldn't inflict them on anyone who's seen it 100 times, i'd watch it at my leisure. Then again, naked nuns on dildo saddled tricycles is niche viewing so I won't have that problem.

At least a 100 times! But this was the first time I had time to watch it, so thanks I guess :).

F****** love the constant encouragement. You can almost see the players' confident grow as you watch the video. This is exactly what our mentally fragile club needs!

One thing for me next season is whether we can start to come out of the blocks a lot better. I'm so tired of these slow starts to games. Start the game with intent. It doesn't feel we've done that much in the last 5 years. Just the odd game where we started well. Rarely been a high tempo start.

Agreed. I like the cut of his jib.

I just hope this window he at least gets a few players he really thinks he needs to help implement what he wants. Feeling more optimistic now based on nothing other than I like the sound of his shouty encouraging voice he’s got.

there is more movement in that clip in a training session than i have seen spurs do for ages. I really hope he gets a tune out of this squad.
