I don't think Royal has matched Trippier or Aurier's levels yet, but both also had quite bad dips so that's by the by. I don't feel strongly enough about him to make much of a case. But what do you mean about Levy getting too involved? He didn't want Nuno by all accounts. Or do you mean in not giving Conte what he wanted first time around?

He's 22? If he had been at trippier's or even Aurier's level he would be playing for Barcelona

Not convinced by his summer business or his managerial targets but well done for getting Conte done. No way it happens without him.

Read what was written. He said "Royal is performing considerably better than our other right back signings since Walker". That doesn't factor in age, he's saying he is currently playing better than those guys. I'm not setting the bar for him. I think he's been ok. I don't think he's done well enough to heap praise on the guy who signed him YET.

That's not what's said in the post I quoted?

You said you don't think Royal has matched Aurier or tripper (yet). I was just reminding you that he's 22

IF we get Conte then this is why I’ve been so positive about Paratici because he will do what it takes to succeed with us.

Im almost certain than when Paratici arrived we’d already messed up so many manager discussions including Conte without Paratici being properly involved. It was then at that point very late in the day and he was told we can hire Nuno or Fonseca, he went for Nuno which in heindsight was a mistake but it was mabye the best of a bad bunch so to speak as Fonseca was pretty poor at Roma.

Anyway fast forward to now and he’s acted decisively to rectify things and if he has now convinced Conte to join then that is something we should be extremely excited about.

Under Levy alone, 0 chance Conte joins and if he does it would fail with Paratici it will most likely work out well.

Also I’m the videos released I just get a sense that Paratici really knows his stuff and knows what he’s doing and I loved how he talks about building something big over many years like he did in his last 2 jobs 6&11 years.

I love his Italian passion and Italians know football and know tactics and they’re very competitive and determined.

Im absolutely buzzing if this happens. I think it would kick start us onto a very good trajectory unde Paratici.

Maybe so, but it looked like Levy backed Paratici and stayed out of that appointment

Maybe Paratici was working under the remit set by Levy. Conte was clearly Paratici's top choice, Levy rebuffed it, Nuno was the compromise. No idea why FP settled on him as the compromise though.

True that.
We'll never know that answer, that's for sure
Tonight I feel optimistic for the first time in ages about us

While I agree he did well, Hart was positive for us
I wasn't really having a go at Hart (although I partially was) but more the fact that we signed him on a free and managed to sell him. Nuno was obviously a catastrophe but it's difficult to be unhappy with the player movements (in and out) since Paratici arrived.

Listening to Ali Gold, Paratici is a massive bonus to the club. He did push for Nuno when we needed someone which is his big negative but hes been great so far for the club.

I expected him to come in and e this really brilliant attacking forward with no defensive skills. But defensively he is good, VERY good in one on one situations. Tad awkward going forward. Reminds me of Wan Bissaka at the moment.
