I am quietly confident....

The thing I know about tottenham... When things gets tough, the team rises to the occasion. I feel more confident that we will play well against a strong team.

It's a defining month, it's time for players to step up and earn their spots in the team. And we as fans need to be 100% behind them.

So...... COME ON YOU SPURS! (y)

Absolutely no Way do we rise to the occasion when things get tough just look at most pressure games we never fail to let ourselves down.
Just look at semi finals against Chelsea and Portsmouth or lasagne day and finally the last two seasons of champions league all of which we fucked it up.

U guys are just so negative...

Need to BELIEVE more... If we don't do that, no one will. I expect tottenham to win everytime they take the field, yap losing sucks, even hurts... But I guess that's what fans do. They expect the best from their team.

Hehe. I don't expect much from the quoted persons, quite the opposite in fact, as I don't believe any of them are clever enough to open a door without anyone showing them first.

But this is my point: I can live with losses and bad results as long as I Could see progress. If we conceede beacuse verthongen has a bad pass in the back, that is ok if it's something we are Trying to be better at. If Walker loses the ball in the attack because he has been instructed to challenge his man instead of stopping every attack - i'm fine with that.

We have a very good group of players, but we don't have any top world class players. Ergo, we need the wow-effekt to come from management instead of players like suarez, bale, messi etc.

If u say for example that the sum of Arsenals players are 8, and the sum of our players are 8, then wenger is doing something better cause They get better results...

But at the moment, they aren't. We are closer to them now than we have been for a long time this season - they really aren't anything special right now bar a big win against a Sunderland team that did not turn up to play.

I agree we need a wow effect from management - but I've not been expecting to be blown away by Tim et al. I have been pleasantly surprised by some things and frustrated by others - but i can't remember a time i wasn't frustrated by a manager.

Maybe going unbeaten in the league for 6 games worked against Tim - we have had a slight regression in performance since the Newcastle game - its been busy schedule, our better defensive players are injured - i think how we play on Sunday and in the coming games will show me more than a slump in our form.

iI believe we do have players who can lift the team - just because they haven't shined properly yet, it doesn't mean that they won't.

Ade is playing like a man committed at the moment and he is clearly trying to lead by example in his efforts. Even against Norwich. Eriksen, when back form injury will also improve our on the pitch 'wow' factor.

And don't tell me seeing Sandro come back didn't bring a smile to your face.

I never smile When Sandro is on the pitch - I get scared :D

I like your reflected views, but you are a bit more optimistic Than me (and that's an achievement).

An example of what i would want is a manager, and club, who dares to get worse before getting better. Liverpool is an example, though I believe They have been lucky. Last season was all about posession. This year They don't have posession, but They are very comfortable with the ball due to last seasons "training". They also have very clear roles, and a plan. Henderson runs behind from the deep, suarez come down while sturridge gets behind, etc.

I do believe a lot of their pieces are falling into place because of a good run, but the point is still the same.

It's probably easier to manage a bottom half team Than a top team - They only need to defend and score on set-pieces. We need a plan, a style and a group that would die to achieve something.

You landed yet? :D

There's a difference between being negative and realistic when it comes to spurs atm. I would reduce expectations to 0 if I was you...just for the sake of sanity if nothing else.
