Unless any of you follows the Lega Pro, Italia’s third division, I don't think any of you have ever heard of him. In case t's just agent talk, well, at least he's now more known around the world.

ttenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in bringing Juve Stabia defender Marco Migliorini to England next season.

The 23-year-old has impressed in Lega Pro, Italy’s third division, this season with a string of commanding performances.

According to stabia1907.it, the Italian is one of a number of Tottenham targets as coach Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad during the summer transfer window.

A native of Peschiera del Garda in Verona, the central defender would command a fee in the region of €1 million, with neither the price or the player’s lack of experience seemingly deterring the English club from a possible move.

23 in third tier, if he was any good he would be higher then that, and while 1 million isn't a lot I don't want us buying players for the sake of it

Have not heard of this guy, but who have, with where he is playing at the moment? If the scouts are really looking everywhere to unearth raw diamonds, im more than happy for them to continue their job. At 23 and playing at that level, it may sound past the usual potential that the club is normally used to, but if this is indeed true, i will reserve my judgement till i see him play for a prolong period. Anyway, CBs usually gets better around 25 years of age and this guy is Italian (where quality CBs are more than the norm)...

Kind of agree, wasn't Ian Wright 21 when he was still playing Sunday league?!!

Sounds like a Mitchell special.

Let's be honest, he'll probably never make the grade but at that price he doesn't have to very often. Even if he doesn't work out we may well make a profit on the deal and if he does it's an absolute bargain.

Risky yes, but we can afford to get 20 of these risks wrong compared to each Paulinho risk.

Worth baring in mind that 3 0r 4 years ago Schniederlin was playing in division 1. So yeah, I agree, wouldnt completely disgard this due to the league he's in.

Yep (y) .. Drogba hadn't even signed any professional papers when he turned 21, mate. Thierry Henry was 'failing' in Italy at 22 years of age, and then there's our own Ryan Mason who, at 23 years of age, was only just making his first league appearance for our club..

There could be all manner of reasons why this Migliorini fella is playing lower league football at his current age. Perhaps the likes of Ogbonna, Marrone, Barzagli, Lichsteiner,Chiellini & Caceres, are able to offer some sort of explanation as to why this lad isn't turning out for Juventus? They've been good enough to get their club to the CL final, and perhaps this lad isn't yet at that level.

Rob Mackenzie who joined as a scout from Leicester found Jamie Vardy aged 25 in the Conference and he's been a cracking signing. Its the moneyball way - you've got to explore rarely explored avenues.

Completely off-topic, but 'Found' is a bit of an exaggeration. He was a guy scoring millions of goals for the runaway Conference winners, most Football League clubs were looking at him.

Finding an English player, lower down the ladder, is one thing but a none homegrown 23 year old, from the Italian 3rd division, would either not get in our squad or potentially take a place from Chiriches.
Doesn't sound like such a bad idea after all.
