That's not fact up for debate, it's a given. That's why I said what I did. There are a lot of stories about him at the minute, too many to just be idle rumour. Theres a very good reason LFC aren't pursuing this & I'd trust Klopp more than most regarding this player to know he's not right. Great talent, but there are issues there!

Seems that way given the press reports and klipps coments about not wanting a player that says they want cl football.

Maybe that was just my take on it though.

Well I knew that one was coming. When you've got the general media stating as such, Liverpool fans stating as such what are you gonna do ? Go round in circles eternally ? When is there ever any kind of definitive proof ? Not very often.

As far back as May, Lothar Mattheus came out and said Gotze had turned down Liverpool.

Is it widespread knowledge? Personally, I've not heard that story at all yet, plus you always get conflicting reports in these situations when actually, no one really knows whats going on. Like Sky linking us with Long for instance, because Poch watched him for Ireland. We all know what happened there lol.

Point is, we're never truly in possession of the full truth in football transfers, that's why we rely on itks to get those gems of info or the occasional very good journo (but that's rare)

It was pretty much all over the place before the Euros that Götze wanted to stay and fight for a place at Bayern and apparently that's why Liverpool went for Mane instead. Things seems to have changed though

The thing now is that with only one year left on his contract Bayern might not want him to stay and fight for his place unless he signs a contract extension and he might not want to, all kinds of things come into play at a time like this.

i would expect that to be pretty hard as he has only just signed for them, as he was on loan last season

by all accounts he's leaving Bayern. Until he signs with someone else its possible he comes to Spurs. Nobody, and I mean nobody, saw VdV coming from Real Madrid. It just happened so fast there was no time to argue about it.

Despite the fact that this one has gone pretty quiet, I really hope that we are in for him. Signing a player of this quality would have a similar effect to VDV - it would galvanise the rest of the squad, and those around him would raise their game accordingly.

I really do believe that we are one quality AM away from something special this year.
