It was a good game, and everyone played well.

But, it was Everton, and Everton are pretty bad at nearly every phase of play. I enjoyed the game, but won't read anymore into than that.

Big game next week. Plenty of time for Conte to prepare the squad.

Doc. It sticks in my throat but he was excellent today. It helps having someone like Kulusevski ahead of him, always in space. Will never be the answer, but a really good today.
Just cough it up. He was the answer today, and can be the answer again. Let him prove you wrong. he's our player so why not see what he can do rather than just write him off. He deserves to rewrite his tottenham history if he can, unlike us, he goes to work every day for our club.

Kane’s passing against Leeds and city was better, but today his finishing was absolutely sublime. However this was by far the best performance from Doherty in a spurs shirt. Some really good key passes and 2 assists so for that he gets motm. Looks really tidy with kulusevski next to him.

Those assists where his? I could have sworn they were from Bentancur ? :D

nope, they were his. Watch the highlights. Sublime passes. Especially the Kane volley one.

My fav thing was for the first time i think ever I saw our midfield 2 dominate their midfield 3.... and their 3 are no slouches either. Allan highly touted out of Italy., VDB one of the top midfield prospects leaving Ajax and Doucoure who is super solid and wouldn't mind if we had him as depth. Like where did this come from

Voted Bentancur but excellent all round. Could easily have picked Kane, Kulu or a couple of others.

Without meaning to be pessimistic, I don’t think Hojbjerg or Sess played well.

the rest all performed well IMO.

Have to go with Kane, but Bentancur, Kulusevski, Doherty and Dier were all excellent too.

Kane 9 Top quality finishes and worked very hard all over the pitch.
Bentancur 8.5 All round top performance and loves to get stuck in.
Kulusevski 8.5 Very clever player and opponents bounce off him.
Doherty 8 2 superb assists.
Dier 8 Brought an air of serene tranquillity to the back line.

Went Doherty, which might be unfair to some other absolutely excellent players out there, just because of how many levels he raised his game. Seems to be regaining some confidence and starting to look like the player we thought we were getting when he signed.

Its been a long time since we bullied a PL team like that. At least Leeds put a fight. Can't overlook the fact that Everton were atrocious, but a very good performance nontheless. Kane wss obviously phenomenal again, Kulu and Bentancur continue to look like the best signings in years, and PEH and Dier were very good, but I cant not give MOTM to Doherty. How someone can go from not being able to kick a ball to playing like that is beyond me, the passes for Kane's goals were absolutely perfect - normally the kind of ball Kane himself plays. If he keeps this up he is a very good option for RWB going forward, although would still be looking for an elite player in this position next season.

Went for Bentancur. Knits things together so well and looks like he's played in this team for years. Is it just me that sees a bit of a Berbatov gait about him? Obviously very different player but still.

Kulu, Kane and Doc also really, really good.

It was a great team performance, with everyone playing well and several stand-out performances - a real joy to watch. However, I think anyone who doesn't think Kane was MotM must be taking his brilliance for granted simply because they've seen it so many times before.

Kane, for me, was the best player on the pitch with Doherty a close 2nd. Not sure I watched the same match as a lot of you (and I even watched the whole match again) regarding Bentancur's performance. Also, Son was is putting in a lot of work that many seem not to notice. I think the extra defensive work he is doing and then the sprints he makes to get back in the attack and get in behind the defense may negatively impact his touch / finishing but he is so important because of the space he opens for others.

Bentancur was decent but could argue that PEH was more active and far more disruptive when Everton tried to bring the ball through the midfield. Bentancur committed more fouls than tackles (3 to 2) and passed the ball backwards / sideways most of the time with no long balls or key passes. He did carry the ball forward about 3 times on long dribbles only to pass it sideways twice and play a hospital ball to Son that led to a foul. He was also dispossessed more than any other player on the team (4). I know he is the new toy and I think he put in a decent performance but if that was Winks, many of you would have been roasting him on here. I do think he is better than Winks and makes us better but just do not get the over the top reactions.

I think you're massively underplaying the importance of things Bentancur did which cannot be quantified through stats.

I completely disagree with the bolded sentence. Given that Winks is generally not highly rated means that, arguably, he'd be getting even greater praise due to lower expectations.

What "things" are you talking about. I watched the match a 2nd time concentrating on him and it was decent, better than most of Wink's performances, but nothing that I feel deserves the glowing praise that many have given him. If that was Winks with the performance, some on here would him been calling him the 2nd coming of Modric and others would have said we won despite Wink's pedestrian performance. Again, not saying Bentancur was bad by any means but I though it was just a good professional performance while we had others, especially Kane and Doherty, on a different level yesterday.

I only saw people saying he’s our best midfielder since Modric [or Dembele]. Nobody has said he is as good as (“second coming“).

I think there are plenty of things to appreciate in yesterday’s performance:
