Don’t see what he offers. Shaky defensively, lacks quality going forward. He’s making Kyle Walker Peters look like a bargain for Southampton.

He makes me want the return of David Kerslake!

Honestly, he makes me miss trippier and I hated that little prick with a passion.

trippier was another that was only good as a wing back but fuck he looks like Cafu compared to this prick.

I know it's early doors and he's not played frequently but sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up and say you've made a bad signing. He doesn't have any pace, VERY poor defensively and doesn't seem to be able to reproduce his attacking threat he posed at Wolves, even in his preferred position with a back 3/5. The only slight positive is Aurier has improved as a result.

Trippier is starting in a Simeone team at the top of La Liga, he's nowhere near as bad as many people seemed to think.

At Wolves his first instinct was to bomb forward and get in behind, but for us he’s looking for the easy ball every time and going backwards and passing responsibility. Aurier is way better.

He is one of those of players who is most effective when they don't have the ball at their feet..which becomes a problem if you are possession based attacking team like ourselves ;)

KWP > Aarons who many people wanted. Doherty is playing a different game to what he played at Wolverhampton.

This. I don’t recognise Doherty this season at all. Looks terrified.

Gets beaten so easily, then jogs or walks back. Awful. Doesn't even seem to have basic technique. Aarons, KWP, or var loving Aurier are all better options.

We missed the pace of Aurier so much. Wolves happy as they have upgraded at right back. Why did JM drool over this player so much? Kyle Walker Peters is already twice the player he is.
