The SSN presenters didn't like that. It was almost like Jim and Kirsty were effectively plugging their ears going "lalalalala... we can't hear you... Chelsea are great aren't they, they're the reason the world likes the premier league aren't they, they must because they make lots and lots of money for Uncle Murdoch and he tells us it's true... la la la..."

Cascarino was like "my whole life has been a lie" and couldn't handle it.

There was a definite gulf in the intelligence levels on display in that "debate" lol.

hahaha, and when Cascarino tries to up his game he just can't. You can see him going through the thesaurus in his head looking for new words to use, then remembering he's an empty-headed ex-footballer with no other skills or thoughts to add to the discussion.

Syed is right, all the way through. That isn't the sort of insight they want on Sky Sports News though.

Yeah but they've won some trophies and he's spent a loada money. Thanks Tony Cacarino/Merson/Tony Gale/Paul Walsh/Phil Thompson/anyone else they have on tv.

Amazed this was allowed to happen on the Sky! Made them look like utter mugs, J White being the guy to present it I would imagine because they seem him as someone who can handle it but he got bashed!

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

First thanks to the OP for the share, top class!

All about context, and it makes me glad someone in the media actually said it, these guys either stole or inherited money that belonged to the people, and these guys are so rich they can spend billions of pound on things that do not really matter when there are people in their own country who struggle to even survive.

I am glad that we do not have that at spurs, we may one day and even if it brings success it may be bit bitter sweet knowing that the money could be doing something far greater like what Bill Gates is doing to end malaria.

Going to look at so.e of these books this chap has written, he is one smart chap.

i think it was a bit of a surprise to them. Once Syed got going there was no way to stop him. Normally Sky would just want someone to agree with Cascarino and peddle the same story.

They tried, problem is you sometimes need to know your station, if there is someone who is obviously far more intelligent then you (not to hard for me :)) you do not try and be on their level, unless you can come back with something on their level. The with the awful questions/points they came back with, made them all look retarded in comparison.

The best part is that Syed is respectful and polite in his points and in his handling of their responses. Whereas the rest of them were just getting arsey and frankly rude about it. And Cascarino effectively endorsed corruption in sports and business!

Love the look on Jim White's face when he realises Syed is not going to stick to boring football cliches. Totally panicked.

I wonder what Sky thought they would get when they asked Syed to appear? I've never read anything that he has written before (that will change after watching this), but if he works for The Times which is part of the Murdoch empire, surely somebody realised he wasn't going to toe the party line?

I wonder why Sky are so oblivious to the fact that every non City and Chelsea fan hates Abramovich and Mansour?

I would be amazed if Sky knew clubs other than Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd have fans.
