Please let this be wrong
Exactly. Apart from bringing through a host of Southampton youngsters, coaching Lallana, Shaw and Lambert into the England team and taking the Club to its highest ever finish by playing bright, attacking football, what has he done? Complete loser.

I agree. Would love to see him develop our Lallana and Shaw. With this said, Spurs did beat his team in both games last season.

I just hope that, if employed, he's given some time. We need stability
Agree kind of.
We need stability if things on the whole are going well and we dont panic when we have a hiccup.
We dont need stability if its all going tits up and its blatantly obvious theres no sign its gonna get better. Sticking with someone whos useless for a longer period just to get some stability would be madness.
Interesting link from Miles 64 and I'm a bit more hopeful of the future after reading that (how fickle lol).
Fact is sometimes Managers work with some clubs and not others. Just one of those weird things in football.
Lets hope whoever gets the job fits Spurs. At least if Poch gets it we wont have to worry about playing sideways boring shit. (y)

I was a doubter before I read that but this gives a fascinating insight from a Saints blogger into Poch's work at the club.

I have read fascinating insights on Ramos and AVB before they were here. Now they are gone and another 'attractive proposition' is here. I like Pochettino and the football his side has played, but same if it was De Boer or some other one still doesn't know how it will all pan out.
I believe though you give the right manager time but it can also be evident in a small amount of time that you don't have the right manager.
Hopefully, this time can be the right.

If 'Poch', as he's been referred to in recent weeks, is the one then I hope it's not based on some notion that as he's an Argie he'll therefore get the best out of our record signing...

Spot on. Look at when Harry came in. It was obvious within 3 games we were going places.

He'll get a season if he's lucky. The first string of bad results and he's out the door. Our chairman's style creates loads of extra pressure on managers after couple of poor games. Levy's a fine businessman but football is something he doesn't fully understand. Building a winning team usually takes years, not weeks.

Erm, well he lost to Sherwood, twice LOL .. i like him tbh and dont mind him being on the short list, the worrying thing though is i havnt really seen a plan B from him when things arnt going right, its plan A all the time.

Picked up an Espanyol fan the other day in my cab and he was saying how he rated him but the club just kept selling all of their players. Just thought i'd throw that in there. Made me feel slightly more convinced any way.

It's been reported that he lost faith in the saints project because they couldn't convince him they'd hold on to their best players. Should have no problems with spurs' approach then.
