I think this article is very generous. By the way, this isn't a criticism (just a suggestion for improvement), but from what I've seen, the articles about players linked to Spurs always seem to be positive. Obviously, if the evidence suggests that a player would be great for us, then fine, but clearly there are strong doubts we can have about Meyer due to him not being first-choice for much of last season, but this is glossed over in the article.
Maybe structuring it in terms of strengths and weaknesses may be more balanced and thus more informative?

Agree--I'm a Max Meyer fan, I think he has potential to be very good and an impact player but he's as likely to be Lewis Holtby as he is Julian Draxler. He is no sure thing or safe bet.

He's 21, still got time on his side.
Poor season but worth a pop for 20 mil. With the right attitude poch has a good chance of letting him shine. He definitely has the ability. Its worth a go.

Would prefer goretzka but if we could get Max for around 12/13 mil then it would be worth the punt in my opinion. Kid does have talent.

Barkley had a good season last year, he was far from shitty.
I've wanted Meyer in our squad for a couple of years now so I'm keen on this sigining. He's had a couple of solid years in the Bundesliga and he is still young and has potential for growth. He would probably not become a immediate starter for us but we need quality in out depth to challenge on multiple fronts.
