This is not to knock @SecretLemonadeDrinker because I laughed when I saw it, but the funniest posts - in my opinion - are the ones which are entirely unexpected. Halfway through reading @Trees' sincere opening message, I was already planning to write the same and I'm sure plenty of others were, too.

As SLD said himself, "Ryan Ressegnon" is so perfect because it seems obvious after you've read it but the genius is thinking of it in the first place.

Strangely, over in the Help Forum, a discussion about the funniest posts on SC took place only a month ago:

Thank you both. Both just made me proper belly laugh desire being ages after the event. I think marginally I prefer the scooby post but both are sensational.

As for this thread, I think we’re all just a bit fed up, whether that’s life in general or the state of the club, usually both, and that probably doesn’t manifest itself in the best way, but I think generally it’s alright in here (apart from @King of Otters on my birthday ? ). As for the grammar policing, I like to think it’s almost always facetious.
