Who: The Goat
When: 3rd July
Where: SC

The Goat has had word of Bale's growing commercial dealings in the UK that suggest a move from the Premier League is highly unlikely this season.

This was about his EA deal :)

Lol! Ok, gotcha! Makes sense fir the US market.

Shame they didn't use Dempsey!

As the US copy is the same as the Mexican one, it makes sense for Chicarito, who I'm sure is the cover over there every year.

.... And this is why Gareth Bales value cannot be judged in pounds and pence alone. In case anyone is still thinking we should 'cash in' whilst his value is high.

No one is still thinking that are they?

What benefit ($) do we gain from his endorsement & branding deals?

I'll pop open the bubbly when he's signed that new contract. It was always, save a ridonkulous offer from RM this summer, likely he'd stay this summer anyway.

Wow that's pretty good. The last Fifa Game I bought was '97 for the GameBoy with David Ginola on the front (in a Newcastle shirt).

Might get this one even though I'll only play it once.

Just curious, if anyone know how these things work. Is it just free advertising for us, UA and HP when Bale is plastered all over Times Square and video game boxes? Surely that's too good to be true, don't we have to pay something for all that advertising? If not, then it's certainly true that his value is even more than his already huge value as a footballer.

The profile of Tottenham/Bale keeps rising, but we need to win something or all this is just window dressing. Don't get me wrong the time square ads and this is a big deal but getting into the CL and maybe winning the FA/UEFA cup would make more of an impacted.

Yes, that's what I'm wondering!

I'm pretty sure it will mean firstly that our "brand" gets more exposure, as a result of that we'll sell more shirts (home and abroad) and it should bring in more money through sponsorship. Secondly, and this is the part that I guess none of us know about, there are image rights deals where the club takes a percentage of the money the player (Bale) earns. We might not have this in place but off the top of my head I'm pretty sure Madrid do something like this with Ronaldo? Maybe someone else knows more details?
